Lol nope have faith guys I'm not as dumb as you all make me out to be. Wiring is going in this week into the office going to do that saturday then it's order the server, client computers, switch and software and get it fitted.
Shall keep you all posted at how it's all going lol as much as you want me to fail

Just a heads up ordering equipment this week
Lmao sorry guys been running about doing jobs for an agency ordering a client machine today which is
Intel pentium
4gb ram
1tb hard drive
22"TFT screen
And niggly bits like mouse keyboard speakers
Server is going to be one of those HP micro servers running raid 1 for the OS and raid 1 for the file system
Having a hp 100gb/s switch and that's what I'm up to do far lol

I know a guy in a computer shop who gives me discount because I'm always in there do save me hassle I gove him a spec of what we need and let him do his thing

hmm an interesting choice... but i think the pentium etc is for the client device he spec'd up..
anyhow..
how come the 10/100 switch and not 1000? i didnt think it was humanly possible to buy a 10/100 these days! Im guessing large file transfers are not needed?
