Sticking with my current sim free deal with vodafone, 26£ PM, unlimited texts, gig of data + tethering, 1200 mins, 599£ for the 32gig handset.. Will sell my current immaculate white 4S for 250-300£, 5S-6 comes along next year, repeat..

T-mobile emailed me today to confirm my order.

WTF!

I called them and they said that NOBODY on T-mobile will be getting their phones on friday, even though when they SOLD me the contract they said I will have it on friday! b******s!

Not very happy.

Sue them.

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Expect to pay around £5 a month more when moving from OUK/TM to EE for the 4G services apparently.

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Are O2 the only network who can offer me a £26pm contract? I don't want to pay anymore!

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Anyone heard anything from orange about their upgrades yet? I've had a text saying my order has been processed, but nothing on delivery date.

Argh I can't decide whether to buy one or not.

I still have a year in my current contract so would I be best just buying a 5 outright and selling on my 4S and carrying on my contract?

Likely to be able to buy out of my current Voda deal without costing me too much?

£270ish for a 16GB 4S. So £230 to upgrade.

Vodafone - 12x £monthly cost = A lot.

You've got plenty of time to make up your mind as if you go with the sensible first option, you've got a 3 week wait. Lol.

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Just cancelled with o2 and received my PAC.

Roll on Friday. Hopefully. Lol.

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Yeah I think 'if' I go down the 5 route I'll just buy outright and sell on the 4S.

I think thats a pretty good deal. I did find an unlimited data package on T-Mobile but I just don't need it !!

iPhone 5 32Gb
02 - £26/m - Unlimited Calls/Texts, 1Gb Data.
26x24 = 624
£300 phone
Total = £924

In Comparison, if you bought it outright and paid £15 a month sim only the overall cost would be £960, so the contract is cheaper.

Depends on your usage needs.

i went for the next one up at £31 x 24 and £269 for the 32gb

o2 waived my upgrade early cost which would have been 4 months line rental, all done through CPW

If you take a 5 and then want to change to EE then there will be no cost to do that (eg no early termination or penalties) but you will have to move to an EE 4G tariff which are expected to be around £5 a month more than a standard TM or OUK tariff (so a £36 TM tariff would be 2k mins, unlimited texts and data, the EE version would be £41) and you'll also need a new SIM.

I was surprised to read that Vodafone intend to charge customers £10 per month for FaceTime use if they are not on a £40 or upwards price plan. Bit cheeky.

link?

edit: found it .. anybody over £40 or on a RED price plan

I'm sure Ben can confirm the Facetime thing. Surely that's un-chargeable if it's done over wi-fi?

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

When are voda doing nano sims from in store?

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

No idea when I will get my 5, probably at least a month before O2 get some more!

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Would it be possible to unlock a Vodafone iPhone 5?

I've searched this thread but can't see anything.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info, that's confirmed for me I'm not touching EE!
o2 or 3 it is

Vodafone unlocked my old 4 over the phone just before I sold it earlier this year, didn't charge either. As many of you are probably aware the handsets come unlocked but when carriers sim is inserted it locks to said network.

All ready to go :)

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Wifi will be free, always has been. The charge is if you use Vodafone network data.

That's a bit crap, surely it's up to you how you spend your data allowance each month.

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Good stuff! Are they really that dinky?

Mine will be delivered with the phone on Friday.

I would've stayed with o2 but lack of 4G sucks balls.

Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9

Yeah, its pretty small like. Comes with the adapters so I am going to swap it over shortly.

Lack of 4G at the minute doesn't bother me, next year is where it's at!
