Couldn't you just let them take a sample out of your jerry can, prior to them witnessing putting some in the tank?

Just do like fred says and let people crack on if they want to waste money on fuel that will make very little difference on this spec engine.

What's the minimum number of cars needed to make this a viable option? I see lots of people expressing an interest, which is superb, but as Daniel has already said, expect no more than 20% of those to actually make it to the grid.

Wondering whether to sell mine and buy a track ready Cup. Thing that's hindering that is that mine's been good to me. Aircon delete I reckon as I've become very attached to mine and know what's been done has been done well.

I don't think there was any mention of not allowing cups anyway. They are a bit lighter but the no ABS thing can be a disadvantage for new racers. Many tyres get fubar'd from locking brakes at 90mph and not releasing them. For the slight extra weight you get the benefit of not running that risk.

From what I saw of your car, it looks to be a very tidy and well looked after example. Could you cope with seeing it get a bit battered?

It's car park ding city mate. A blind man was reading the panels once. It shines when polished but it's already had it's fair share of abuse and we've got history lol.

  172 Rally Car
only needs scutineering for if there is a rule, no rule no problem.

When I built my rally car I asked the msa about this, I was told that to get a log book I would need to have one as its an msa rule.

Bloody stupid I know but you may find you need one for a logbook.

(you can't just take the fuel line off the rail either)

Non FIA racing cars don't have a log book like Rally Cars. Don't worry about fuel sampling for French Trophy

Yes you can use spacers.

And yes you could come to Cadwell, but the 'Production' class hasn't and won't be up and running until next year, so you would either run as a normal FT car, or they might allocate an invitation class for you.

But a word of warning, FT will not have a stand alone race (not atm anyway) so we will sharing the grid with the Nippon Challange cars, Skylines, Subaru's etc!!, and some quick Clios ;).

Could be a baptism of fire tbh, I'd wait for Oulton or Donington.

Everyone's got to start somewhere but at least with trackdays available, you could get used to driving on track and become accustomed to your car's behaviour etc. Everybody gets better, the few that I think are genuinely serious are reasonably experienced but even so, it's a whole new ball game. Being a reasonably quick trackday driver, is still a big step away from being a good racer.
