Clio172 timing belt collapse

Car  Clio 172
Hello.i just bought a Renault Clio 172 and when I was driving into a car park it stopped, tried to turn over and it doesn't fire.anyway after taking the engine out and took timing case off,one of the pulleys have collapsed so the timing is out.do you think if I set timing up with new pulleys it will be fine.or do you think valves would of bent?? Cheers
