do you know someone thats done this? Coz as its canbus i dont see this possible to do.
& MES (connects2) havent even looked into making stalk controls for the new clio/megane...
oi.... less of the rip off business...
we have a fixed rate here of 35+vat min to fit a customers own headunit (depending on the car), its an arbituray line we've set and its only coz they have bought the headunit else where (obviously we fit our own ones for free, depending on the car...
well i fit them as an aspect of my job and you should see the kind of dunces we have to deal with that come in after trying to fit their own stereo. Obviously im not saying tigger is a dunce in any kind of circumstance, but anyone can hook up a remote wire to a permanent live or a ignition feed...
Clifford everytime... Don't even get me started on how pants the toad alarm is to fit and how non user friendly it is.
I fit them and i hate doing toads. Cliffords are put together so much better.
Yep it is pretty costly, but for people that don't want to use the hand thats usually changing gears to change a track instead of using the controls, i guess its worth it ;)
But thats what you pay for when you get these new annoyingly wired cars lol.
Anyways, good news, did an 2005 megane...
lol, right sorry.. gets busy at work sometimes! with the same questions to :P
Ill try and answer everyones question without forgetting one..
The display... Yes it will work with the display but will only display the radio name (e.g. Alpine), and when you push seek up for example it will...
sorry if this has been posted before...
Right, a new can bus steering wheel stalk control interface is now available for all updatelist radios.
the correct part required can be identified by the name on the front of the radio or on the yellow mini iso connector behind the radio...
JayGTT - thats standard on pretty much all clios, even my 1.2 came with it as standard....
in all honesty mate, i work in the ICE business, and the alarm aint great dude. do you know if it works on ultrasonics ?
its a cat 1 so u get that status but its the basics of all basics. Its worth...
yeah like john said, if u have a sub (even if it is on its way out coz i take it u will be replacing it ?) then dont touch the parcel shelf.
if u dont ever take rear passengers mate then the mid driver is a good idea... otherwise i would stick to just coaxials. i have amped front components...
