Hi Rob Thinking about it, I can put the car in gear it's only when I then move that it sounds like the bottom is falling out! It is a 172 03 reg, I have extended warranty, so if it is the gearbox, then great, cause I won't have to shell out.

Checked my discs and they are fine, no scoring. The ATS fited ones have done nothing but squeek since the day I had them. I think I will speak to Renault about a fluid drain, do they just have std fluid or can I request a better quality one? I must admit my local dealer doesn't fill me...

Car is 3 years old, new pads were just some std ones from ATS or something. I had a service back in September so fluid was changed then. I never thought about the discs, I will check them later. If you don't mind me asking how much roughly is costing you to change your discs and pads etc?

I busted my gearbox gaiter, my local renault dealer say that because it is an import they don't know the part number, can antone help on that? It is an 03 172 to UK spec, also they want to charge £40+ to fit it - i don't think so, how do I do it myself? Cheers Lou

Got it on my 172, losing power, jerking constantly whilst driving regardless of gear, god awful noise whilst driving. In with Renault now so well see.
