All done. They towed the car while I was at work, and rang me just before I finished my shift. They changed the auxbelt kit all done under warranty and in the matter of hours. Also they informed me that my crank aubelt pulley, so called harmonic balancer, had metal ring placed in place of rubber...
Today I started the car and there was a rattle coming from the engine bay. As I examined the engine I noticed that the aux belt had slipped one tooth width from the crank pulley as well as from the top pulley. Also 3-4 inches of the belt had grooves totally worn out!!! What is usually the cause...
Me car also diagnosed with faulty leads that caused missfire, car at renault waiting for new leads from France, cause they haven't got them in stock here in Montenegro :)
@ScarySquirrel
Picked my Clio from renault yesterday, total rebuild of the new engine done by my friend working there. A great sigh of joy :)
He told me to be easy on the revs for the first 1000-1500 km, so that new parts could break in nicely.
Glad it's ok for u mate; been in the...

If u have ph2 loom, no need for a ph1 one.
Inlet is the interchangeable bit for ph1 and...
The same happened to me in January 400km after the cambelt and aux belt service. Waiting to get a second hand engine which should be soon. Con rod blew straight through the block:

Guy is selling this engine because he wants to put 197 lump and box to his 172. He said that motor was working perfectly when it was taken out due to problems with gearbox. He also sells a lightened flywheel, racing clutch and a ported inlet manifold which has been matched to this head. All of...
So I found an used engine for my Clio 172, and I have few issues with it I am not sure about. Previous owner has widened inlet head ports and also the engine block seems to be a bit oily on the right side just below the flywheel bearing... I uploaded some pics he sent me, so what do you reckon...
