Hi all,
I have just purchased an 06 clio 1.5dci campus sport.
Due to lack of other forums I hope I'm ok to use this forum.
Can anyone tell me what the wheels are called? One has a slightly distorted rim which id like to replace.
Are there any other standard issues with these?
Anything I need to...
I've been to look at a 172 cup today.
The car has two problems which I have questions about.
1. Under hard acceleration there is a horrendous knocking/ vibrating sort of sound.
I have heard before this can be engine mount failure or the need to bring the engine forward on the upper mount.
What...
I am now potentially buying a 197!
I am unsure of the last timing belt change so I would have to do one!
My question is, does the 197 essentially have the same engine as a 172/182? In terms of locking tools etc for the cambelt?
Is it the same cambelt kit and dephaser etc? Many thanks!
Hi, I'm looking into getting myself a little 172 as a run around and possible track car.
Ideally want a low mileage one in fairly reasonable condition.
Does anyone have any recent knowledge of timing belt kit prices?
Water pump prices?
Dephaser pulley price?
I'd like to do the lot when I first...
Ok that would be great thanks!
I'm guessing I won't need to remove any camshaft pulleys just to do the belt and water pump, so will only need the crank pin and the horse shoe for the cam shafts!
Cheers
Hi there,
I have a 2000 'w' Megane 1.6 16v k4m. I'm guessing the same engine as in the clio.
I require a timing procedure as I will be doing the cambelt myself.
I have carried out a cambelt change on a 182 previously which was fine.
I have all the correct locking tools etc.
Could anyone point me...
Started my car earlier from cold and initially the warning light came on with the wiggly line and it seemed to be in limp mode and restricted to 3k.
After turning my car off and then restarting it, that light went out and the emissions light came on and was steady!
I don't want to be spending...
I have looked through the procedure in the manual yes.
I just didn't know if I have to turn the crank back before fitting the camshafts to the head to give some clearance to the valves or not!
Spot on, Thanks fred!
So just to check, the camshaft won't push the valves into the cylinder when i tighten the rocker cover down on them as long as I have them lined up with the horse shoe tool?
(with the slots on the ends below centre)?
Cheers once again
Yes COCKson, I undestand that a locking tool locks something but i was just asking if the procedure I explained was correct, as someone else has now confirmed.
Why do some people just come on these forums to spout out silly things which aren't at all helpfull?
Thankyou very much to all of you(...
