Save the money for a 1.4 or 1.6 next year when you insurance will be cheaper. I wouldnt do power mods to a slower car if you can buy something faster in the first place.

Yeah not everywhere can fit them. Another thing the car is so heavy therfor needs stiff sidewalls, there's really only 3 main tyre choices (and one of those is the 888's)

I had one taken off the rim, major repaired, filled with nitrogen, and fitted back on and balanced for £28 :) also got £5 voucher off next mot.

When you put the massive expense to one side it's a fantastic car to drive though. Insanely fast and capable and as mentioned reliability is more of a concern for tuned cars as is usually the case. I could sit here and also **** it off as it annoys me a car sold on it's on track performance...

I'm picking mine up this tuesday as i just placed a deposit. One thing to look out for is imports and one way of telling is the logbook will not have an engine numer on so check that out. Cant wait to pick it up i feel 7 years old on christmas eve again!!

Saw the v6 at Renault worksop 2 or 3 days ago, cant forget a plate like that. Was round the back when i pulled up to see if they had any 182's for sale.

I also have had the "expirience" in my 172 cup 2 years ago. Learnt my lesson wont be pushing my luck this time around. Also from expirience i know elephant are good payers i got payed out within a month and they also changed the policy onto my private reg while i was claiming as i forgot to tell...

^^ cheers for the info but all same company and only £200 difference really. I think the postcode has a lot to do with it as my insurance went up £400 when i moved to this house as it comes as a worksop postcode which is classed as dodgy. Going to look at a 182 this sunday :)
