Save the money for a 1.4 or 1.6 next year when you insurance will be cheaper. I wouldnt do power mods to a slower car if you can buy something faster in the first place.
Cheers Dean I'll have a look who's closest in South Yorkshire area. I'd rather buy a car and have it done as then I know it's been done, and done right.
I've been looking at a few cups and one of them needs the cambelt doing. I've already had a search and couldn't find out if the cup needs the AUX belt doing aswell?
I know the cups don't have aircon and that makes the belt change cheaper but I have no idea what an aux belt is?
From my...
Yeah not everywhere can fit them. Another thing the car is so heavy therfor needs stiff sidewalls, there's really only 3 main tyre choices (and one of those is the 888's)
When you put the massive expense to one side it's a fantastic car to drive though. Insanely fast and capable and as mentioned reliability is more of a concern for tuned cars as is usually the case.
I could sit here and also **** it off as it annoys me a car sold on it's on track performance...
A lot of the gearbox troubles at least on the uk cars seem to be solenoids sticking so not a mojor fix. Ok everything on the car is expensive subject to gtr tax.
It's an absolutely awesome car though, with handling to match it's straight line speed.
There's no defending it's running and...
I had a accident in my Cup a few years ago the naughty side of 90 and my airbags didnt go off either. Didnt need them too really as rear of car took a lot of the impact before i spun into oncoming traffic and hit a taxi.
Now ive got a 182 i would hope if i hit something head on they would go...
I'm picking mine up this tuesday as i just placed a deposit. One thing to look out for is imports and one way of telling is the logbook will not have an engine numer on so check that out.
Cant wait to pick it up i feel 7 years old on christmas eve again!!
Saw the v6 at Renault worksop 2 or 3 days ago, cant forget a plate like that. Was round the back when i pulled up to see if they had any 182's for sale.
I also have had the "expirience" in my 172 cup 2 years ago. Learnt my lesson wont be pushing my luck this time around. Also from expirience i know elephant are good payers i got payed out within a month and they also changed the policy onto my private reg while i was claiming as i forgot to tell...
^^ cheers for the info but all same company and only £200 difference really.
I think the postcode has a lot to do with it as my insurance went up £400 when i moved to this house as it comes as a worksop postcode which is classed as dodgy.
Going to look at a 182 this sunday :)
Dont forget the premium will go up over the next 3 years as you'll have to mention the claim for that amount of time. Unlucky with the crash but as said before could of been worse. Did you say you was 19? and if your insurance was only 1500 with the crash inlcluded who are you insure with...
Very impresive car! went very quick on the straight bits but i think he could have tried a bit harder round the houses.
Did anyone else notice he was holding back a little?

Right click.
Bit of lucky/talented rear end provocation half way through.
Thought id share it since i havent seen it on here before.
Hmm sounds familiar smacked one into a conrete flower bed backwards a year ago. Bit of front end damage and left door is f*cked left wheel f*cked pretty much wrecked had a cliosport sticker in middle or rear window and 2 twin exhausts incase it was this one. If so ive still got spare key n...
In my less mature days i played with an astra gsi 197bhp in the cup and there wast nothing in it between roundabouts. I gained a little round the roundabout obviously. If all your after is straight line pace well the astra would be a good tuning possibility with 250-280 bhp without major...
I work not too far from bolton if its where i think it is. I had a 52 plate cup a while back and smashed it up. Hope that isnt what happened to my beloved clio!!
Dont go racing! Been there done that had the 15000 insurance claim. I wrote a cup off at 18 and was probably the best lesson ive ever learnt but also a costly one that could have been avoided, drife safely and enjoy it.
I only had mine 6 months tops. Remeber no racing or you'll end up driving...
I used to drive the work vans and that made me realise how fast my ol cup was. Problem is you just keep forgetting. I wasnt very sensible with it and id probably touch 80-90 in a morning on my way to work. Thing is the highest speed limit was a 40. Im driving a 1.8 focus which some of my mates...
I did a better job than that on my clio and was ok so i would imagine the owner and passengers would be fine. I killed three alloys and the rear of the car and a slightly smaller wack on the front. Any one know the whereabouts of FX 52 ZDZ as i have a spare key for the car and a funny...
Get the cossie if you want it. I dont own a clio at present but did have a cup. I know your gonna say i dont have taste but i dont aspire to owning a cossie although the zero depreciation is apealing but these kind of cars will need to be "loved" to keep at best.
Every time i see a subaru with...
