Blaupunkt Retro Range

Hi

While I’d love to relive my youth and have dolphins swimming across my Pioneer screen, at my age I’m now more into the OEM+ vibe.

As such I want everything to look as standard as possible with the stereo, but add DAB, phone and music streaming.

The Blaupunkt retro headunits work so well in 90’s cars, has anyone tried the slightly more modern looking ones in the Clio? Thinking the Milano or Skagen would best match? (You can change the colour to orange)

Else if anyone is really good at photoshopping and wants a little project I’d be very appreciative 😊.

Cheers!

I have a Skagen in my clio, it looks like an oem vw style radio so doesn't stand out as something aftermarket. The red/orange isn't an exactly match but it's close enough

I can take photo tonight when I get home

I'd like a photo. Think I was looking at the Bremen. Remember seeing it on Harry's Garage for his Esprit.

I would switch the car on but someone (me) forgot the trickle charger and the battery is dead. It reminds me of a mk4 golf radio

Posted the picture before finishing my write up. The headunit looks like an oem vw unit from the early 2000s. It doesn't stand out as an aftermarket unit and nearly blends in perfectly with the clio interior.

Sound and functionality wise it's perfect. I've yet to bother with DAB radio and use the Bluetooth exclusively. I bought a connects two adaptor so I've kept the steering wheel stalk controls as well.

I've got one of those little magic boxes with aux input that tricks the standard head unit into thinking there's a cd changer attached.
Can't get more OEM than that.

A nice Blaupunkt would sound better however.

Go full chav and get a Sony Xplode.

My dad had about 4 head units in his Sierra when I was young, they kept getting stolen and each time he would replace it with a slightly shitted head unit, eventually he bought some gash looking Blaupunkt and that was never stolen :ROFLMAO:.
