I'll try letting it dwell, may well be the problem. Wants to run off the bonnet, so will try a kitchen towel. I had a section of microfibre soaked in it and was rubbing on, which I have had success with in the past, but perhaps not as stuck on. Quite sure it's not black paint, no black paint on the car beside gloss black trim, so I'd be surprised.
Let it dwell for a while mate and see how you get on. Some T&G can take longer than others.

It could be from anywhere mate. Neighbour painting something in a breeze etc. body shop. All sorts. Hope the glue remover sorts it anyway :)

If it's Autoglym stuff you'll want it to dwell overnight*. If it's AutoSmart Tardis, 5mins dwell time does the same thing.

*don't do this - just underlining the point.

We use the autoglym intensive tar and glue and tbf after leaving it five mins it wipes away really well. Think I prefer it over tardis

I cleaned this on Thursday. This door had a pretty savage scratch so I wet sanded it and then machine polished it. Also put a coat of some sealant I had in my box just to see what happened.

I’d say that’s a pretty solid case for protecting the paint properly.

Hoping you guys can help. Tyre cleaning. I used to have a bit container of some stuff that I used to spray on the tyres, got rid of all the brown staining. Can’t remember if it was a general purpose cleaner, but I seem to be rinsing through wheel cleaner and it’s not as effective. Cheers

Rest of the wagon not protected? So much easier to clean… as you can see!

ADBl tyre cleaner, roughly £32 for 5 litres from Autodoc, arrives quick to.

Don't bother with APC, I've tried the likes of surfex and g101. 4 or 5 sprays with adbl, scrub with a decent brush and done.

Rebound from Autoglanz Is decent but needs more hits.

Honestly buy ADBL

Kev this thing does 1500 miles a week. When o say I cleaned it I mean I got it wet, soaped it up, rinsed it off and drove off. 15 mins tops. Just so I can see out of the windows. 😂😂

I been using g-techniq w2 multi purpose cleaner for a while now for the car and I use it also for the tyres 5-1 ratio sling with a tyre scrub brush and you can tell all s**t is coming of the tyre wall

Still swear by Tuf Shine tyre cleaner, that easily gets the brown staining off tyres.

What are people’s opinions on ceramic shampoo? I’ve used AMDetails Hybrid Shampoo in the past but I have seen GTechniq W3 Ceramic Wash but that is a bit pricy. The Z3 has a ceramic wax on and my E34 has Gtechniq EXO and CSL coating. After washing for the Z3 I use some normal sealant and the E34 Gtechniq ceramic sealant. Is paying for the extra on a ceramic shampoo worth it or just stick with the normal stuff?

If you're using other stuff I definitely wouldn't bother tbh. Only time I'd consider it is in winter when it's just easier but I'd still prefer to use something as a drying aid or a spray on rinse off if I was trying to go with minimal effort protection.

I've sworn by using infinity wax rapid detailer or Sonax BSD as a drying aid for years now just not felt the need to try anything else as it's so easy and actually makes drying easier and always topped up after every wash. If I'm feeling it I'll put a quick layer of c2v3 on top.

I use auto finnesse ceramic shampoo on mine (car was coated 18 months ago with angelwax ceramic coating)
Still looks mint no drying aids needed just wash rinse and dry great finish beading and shine.
Also use it on missus car that has not been ceramic coating still gives a great result and makes washing next time soooo much easier.

Gyeons offering is superb. The only issue is you need to dry the vehicle. Since installing a water softener with 0PPM water, I like to leave it without toweling down, so looking to get some Adams shampoo which you can leave.

went for a jennychem £50 mystery box. on the website it states " Every box is uniquely hand-picked, ensuring no duplicate items,"

would you email and complain that you received 2 of the same?

Used the H2Go stuff for windscreens recommended earlier in the thread. I'm really impressed having come from G1 in the past. 2 generous layers and the beading is phenomenal. Yet to test the durability but I did 2 layers on windscreen and rear glass and 1 later on side windows and barely put a dent in the bottle. Seems to have really resisted the frost the last 2 nights also.
