Was on my christmas list,i just have my doubts on how long they will stay like that.I have gave them a coat in acf,so will prob have to do that each time i wash the wheels. They look the business! Awesome detail. Bet they cost a pretty penny too!
Have you ever done this then mate of either options? With others and I advise against it. Relocation is probably the better option.
It is another option mateSteve can't you just relocate the battery into the cabin, hidden behind the passenger seat maybe?
I relocated a smaller battery in the boot and in all honesty, not worth the hassle. Bit of a ball ache to fit imho, running a cable though the bulkhead and under carpet, fitting a whopping fuse in line etc. That said, the car was doing my head in at the time! The battery died after not using it for 2 weeks, I bought a CTEK charger which saved it and did maintain it when it was on charge.Have you ever done this then mate of either options?
Thanks mate very helpfulMake a plate to fit to the gearbox mount in the bay? That was what my intentions were when I was thinking about it, along with a negative terminal cut off. Similar has been done by a few already

Racing battery tray
Hello! I'm looking to get a racing battery for the Clio and have seen someone on the trophy forum has made a custom cage for a red top battery, any body know who can make one or sell them? Pics below of the battery and cagecliosport.net
Looking good man.
Can't answer your questions, sorry.
I do and can make the back end a little lively. Great for turn in on track etc. Not so good on the road in wet etc. Also does anyone run the front dampers softer than the rear?
Thanks mate,i guess i will just have to have a morning out playing about with set ups.I do and can make the back end a little lively. Great for turn in on track etc. Not so good on the road in wet etc.
I have 4.5kg Front with 6Kg from BCPersonally I'd always go softer on the rear for the road, as this makes a huge difference to compliance and ride comfort.
In fact I'm in the process of researching going softer than the BC standard 8 kgs rear springs - looking at 5-6 kgs which is comparable to OEM.
Thats what BC recommended to me,given the details of my car and use.I can always change the spring rate if it comes to that.Ah - they've softened the rates quite a bit on their kits. Default used to be 9/8.
Personally I think 4.5 kgs is too soft on the front - so by all means stiffen up the damping and see what happens.
