It’s been awhile, was planning on rebuilding the whole engine over winter but all the track days have took a heavy toll on the 5.
Got it up on axle stands and found the front engine mount bracket had snapped, the rear vibra-technic mount had snapped, worn hole on the alternator, all the brake calipers were fucked, worn ball joints and the ignition leads were ready for the bin.
There were also hundreds of dings on the radiator, coolant leaks from some of the hoses and oil leaks galore.
Used AUTODOC for the first time to get the front calipers and carriers… wouldn’t use them again. The CL 5+ pads are still in good nick after 4 trackdays.
Changed the 350lbs springs to 375lbs. Was going to recon the front struts but I’ve had to spend money elsewhere. Will probably swap to GAZ Golds at a later date
