The Mk2 engine has the same performance as the mk1. the only difference is that the mk1 is bad at idle. it searches....so we call it. the Mk2 has a changed inlet and other TB better idle rpm not much of a difference in output power.

well there is only a difference between a mk1 and mk2. The cup eeprom is the same as mk2. There is NO SUCH thing as code´s or whatever. The ecu is the same. My opinion the installed eeprom is dead due to static. Maybe caused by instlling it into the socket.

It´s normal As don´t worry. the tyres are grinding on the rills (correct english ??) if you lift the car it´s gone. Normal and depends on brand (tyre) how much you feel it.
So no woories.

try Vauxhall manta gold. It´s the standard gold vauxhall uses. Maybe this helps a little. I used to spray my 17´´ clio maxi rimms when I had my Willy.

Oil temperature must be higher than 80 (celcius) and octane is of course 98.
If Optimaz would help in performance we would use it already in racing...
Even Elf racefuel will do almost zipp to my performance, but we will check it in a later stadium, during winterstop on the teststand...
Well I checked mine in fourth only on the dyno it says around 129. I will check in third on the road later.

Simon Optimax is loads of CRAP ! if used in a standard or rechipped standard ECU. If you want to have the power they claim you will have to make a ECU which tells the knocking sensor you use a higher octane level.

The difference between a Mk1 and Mk2 is that on the mk2 a potentional sensor attached, which is not on mine. I think (Im not 100% sure) the sensor is the throttle...

wow guys we discuss different cars..... this vehicle has around 370 bhp its called a opel lotus omega. they only produced 1000 of them I read somewhere. The only thing I saw was the big lotus sign on the back !
FYI the Throttle body is a modified Dtcc one and yes it is from Dieppe (as almost all stuff comes from) but I thought it has four blots (gonna check it out for ya)

of course I changed the throttle body too. The stock body we use on the cup is restricted as so far we cannot change it (not permitted) the Dtcc however is larger. I am not running this car on the cup (cups are legal), its my streetcar. It looks almost stock only suspension changed...
BenR you probably never heared of DTCC (Dutch turingcar) we did run Clios MK2 with 230 Bhp in the cup. They stopped this class in 2002 (started in 2000 till 2002) and the Renault dealerteam had spare heads from Dieppe. Surprise I now own one and its fitted on my streetClio Mk1. I even downgraded...
