I'd be interested in knowing how to do this also as mine does the same. Started last winter and tbh only really notice it in the winter (it's just started doing it again). It never really gets to the normal half way point and does fluctuate under the half way line.

Cheers mate, thats good. Wasn't sure if Renault would record the repair and share the info with the DVLA making it a cat D. So is Cat D any repair done through insurance that costs less than the cars pre repair value?

its through the paint so will need re-spray. its booked in this saturday for new exhaust, service, rear brakes disc/pads etc and now i'm going to have to find the money for this as well :( anyone got any recommendations in the manc area?

Well after 3 years of careful ownership, i've just scraped the rear offside panel of my cup above the wheel on the rim of the wheel arch. fooking gutted :( its slightly dinted and will need a re-spray. No photo's unfortunately as is dark now and p!ssing down outside. Does anyone have any idea...

Insurance is exactley the same as it is a UK car, they dont view it any differently. As I said earlier you can even keep the irish plate and it makes no difference. It will be northern irish if the plate looks like an english one but it starts with three letters and ends with four numbers...

Just read your post again and realised it sounds like the car is already over here! :o If that is the case it is of no consequence if the car is from Northern Ireland as it is part of the UK. Obviously Southern Ireland is a bit different as it is not part of the uk.

Welcome to the forum mate. Rattles in a clio are completey normal in fact it would be more worrying if it didnt rattle. My 172 cup sounds like its going to fall apart at times but you just get used to it, I barely notice now.
