i will give the above a go later, when it warms up a bit out there!
Primier! thats the one, it went down to that! i cant believe wiping off birdsh*t would do that to the paintwork, nevermind!
Thanks guys, nice to be back on here again!
Hello everyone.
BT only finally installed broadband yesterday after having enabled for the last 2 weeks, (line problems etc..) and tho i have a crap line, i wont go into that now.
Anyway, my lovely new 54 reg oddessy blue clio, not happy!
Car is great, its the owner and the bird sh*t...
thats ok, it did tell me to run from the aerial wire anyway, so thats no problem, i just wanted to have somewhere a little closer to the aerial, but i will use that wire as its not too far away for it.
i will try and pull my headunit out and put it on the att lead then. Shame as it was a right bugger getting the headunit in there!
One more thing! I know the windscreen is reflective, but are all the windows in a 54 reg clio the same?
I have a 3 door dynmque and the aerial is placed as i say...
I have DAB, and i have just fitted an internal glass mount aerial, it is located on the drivers side window at the rear, in the bottom corner.
The thing is, the aerial needs to be powered through a 12v live lead and to be earthed seperatly. The signal cable is already connected to my headunit...
i need to change my standard aerial to a kenwood bee-sting DAB aerial.
I am a bit wary about doing it as the wiring will require some removing of interior.
Can anyone help in a way i can make this as easy as possible.

I think the car is supurb! Odyssey blue looks fantastic, better than all those boring racing blues etc... yuk!
Anyway, only problem i have found with the car is the ABS and ESP lights come on with the STOP light.
It done it twice when i put the rear window de-mister on and once jsut when...
I was once flashed in lymington heading towards the isle of wight ferry, every car was getting flashed along there it seemed to me, (it was dark).
I am guessing it was faulty or something.
This was a good year and a half ago now.

i have a refurb 4155, got that off ebay, dead cheap! got it from the US, they sent it as a gift so no tax to pay! It was from NYC.
And tomtom 3 is great.
such a varied amount of posts here.
I would probably keep the car, but its only 3 door, not praticle for starting a family, with the lack of access to rear.
I think i will do a bit of both, use the full range of revs when warm, but ease the car into life.
i am intending to keep the car for a fair while (more than 3 years). AT LEAST.
Will take things easy for first 500 miles then, jsut so everything is ok, then i will "kane" the car for a bit, but then return back to normal driving.
Thanks
I know this has been asked, i have asked it, but the time is near, my car is due next week!
Its a 1.4 Dynamque. How shall i drive it, carefully for the first 500 miles, or give it some stick for a while or drive it normally.
Can this be put in as a poll?
Stuart
Is there a point to it? Is it just for show or does it help out the a/c system??
Just couldnt sleep last night thinking "whats the point of that then".
Stuart
thats cool then, you wont need a/c for a fair while yet as the weather seems to have got a bit more of a "nip" in the air! I must say, from what i hear, renault do help people out if there are problems. My local dealer is meant to be very useful and helpful.
<<<<<< 100 posts! FANTASTIC!!
does driving it in diagnostic mode do any damage or anything to the car in any way?
Think i will give it a go, when i get my car, NEXT WEEK!! nice!
If i had esp on my car, and i was accelerating on a wet, muddy field from a stand still, what would i expect to see from the ESP/Traction control?
Would the tyres spin or would the car gradually move away without any spin, or would it not move at all?
does the same go for ice?
Stuart
my rover had a massive heat sheild rattling problem.
4 srews hold it up and 2 holes had rusted away so it was half hanging down.
For that, i got an exhaust bandage and wrapped it around the heat shield tightly.
Never heard it rattle again!
