clio dynamique

i have a rattle from my sunroof just wonderd if anyone else has this as somtimes wen i have the radio off or low its really f**king anoying (it doesnt leak thou) ????

I had this problem in 1 of my dynamiques - I took it back to renault under warranty and they fitted a new one no questions asked - never had a problem with it again. It seems to be a common problem with Renault Clios and their sunroofs. Maybe thats why you cant get it on the sport models anymore cos they rattle themselves to death - Anyhow, get back to renault if you have the warranty and make them fix it.

Manual, had mine in once before and it was fixed however now it does it all again.

its a manual and i bought it brand new in april 2004

Are problems like this only covered within the first year of the warranty or throughout the 3 years?

mines been in twice and had the whole sunroof replaced the second time, now started makin noise again but cant be arsed with the hassle of takin it in.

am i still covered by warranty even tho its an import they told me they could only give me 1 years warranty.. sure thats rubbish?

My new car had this problem also - Have just had it fixed under warranty - Its the handle that rattles. To fix it they have put a rubber ring round the spindle of the handle, its fine (touch wood) so far. Seems to be a common prob with the clio sunroofs, my old 99 T reg one had the same prob!

come to think of it i rember a rubber ring faling out of the mechanism so yes thats what it is

THE SUNROOF IN MY K PLATE CLIO WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE TAT THATS IN MY NEW ONE . LOL its true

Same prob on my wifes dynamique. Must take it in sometime.

Does p*** you off a bit tho considering its only 4 months old.

lol - mines was only 2 weeks old when it started to rattle!

Mine was ok for a few weeks then they fixed it and it was fine them I crashed it and I was back to rattling again then they fixed it and its rattling again now.

Cannot tell though as the bearings are going o they squeek like mad.

Mine has been in once before i got it lowred, stopped rattling for about 2 weeks then started doin it again! Since ive had the car dropped -60mm its not as bad but still does it......but i dont think theyll fix it again coz my car is lowered?

Any decient dealership should its not like its an uncommon problem they could put down to the lowering.

Someone posted a guide a while back on how to do it yourself.

Ive had 4 handles and still the problem exists. Insist they replace the frame instead. Theyve got fecking oil on the fabric seal to make things worse.
