live wire required for internal aerial

I have DAB, and i have just fitted an internal glass mount aerial, it is located on the drivers side window at the rear, in the bottom corner.

The thing is, the aerial needs to be powered through a 12v live lead and to be earthed seperatly. The signal cable is already connected to my headunit.

Where is the nearest live wire i can tap onto?

there should be a earth point behind the carpet in the boot (drivers side 10mm nut) does it have to be ignition feed or permenant 12v???

do you know how much power it needs???
cos it might be more than the h/u amp remote can supply
if so i would take it from the switched live to the h/u

would not of thought it needed more than 12v

best place is off the remote wire of the head unit (thats a switched 12v feed)

i will try and pull my headunit out and put it on the att lead then. Shame as it was a right bugger getting the headunit in there!

One more thing! I know the windscreen is reflective, but are all the windows in a 54 reg clio the same?

I have a 3 door dynmque and the aerial is placed as i say on the rear drivers side window, just next to the rear seat belt.

yes but the remote wire has a very limited current supply (usually around 3-600mA{3.6-7.2watts})
and it would be exspenive to replace the internal fuse inside the h/u

thats ok, it did tell me to run from the aerial wire anyway, so thats no problem, i just wanted to have somewhere a little closer to the aerial, but i will use that wire as its not too far away for it.

Simple enough for the power just route it off you Remove live at the back of the head Unit i belive its Yellow or red best way to test thi is with a simple muliti meter.
