this is a 1.4 sport on 14" wheels with a 60mm drop. Not sure about the shocks as I bought it like this.
Is that what you're after? (because the ride is quite "choppy" to say the least...)
They fit. Plugs are different, but the seat belt had fired on one of the cup seats, so I just swapped the belt stalks from the old seats to the new ones and now the plugs match up too!!
Happy days!!
anything can be made to fit if you're patient, and good with a welder (assuming the seats themselves aren't too wide of course)
I've just put some 172 cup seats into my son's 1.4 Sport (Ph1) - much more comfortable!
Been offered a 172 cup interior (cloth seats and door cards) to replace the tired (and blue!) sport interior in my son's Ph1 1.4 Sport.Good plan? or not? (I know the door cards won't fit until we change the dash for a Ph2 dash, but that's in the pipeline)I'm assuming the seats are a straight swap...
Having just had a renewal quote for my son (who is 17 and just passed his test a few weeks ago); I was in a very similar situation.
All insurance companies are now stopping "fronted" policies (where your mum or dad takes out the policy to bring your premium down) and the cheapest I could get for...
and he wants to buy himself a 172 in a few years time, so by "forcing" him to drive carefully now, he's more likely to build up a decent NCD and avoid points over the next few years
Made a difference of about £80 a year going from a 1.1 Peugeot 206 to a Clio 1.4s (the pug was cheaper). I've argued with so many insurance companies on the phone this week it's unbelievable. It's no wonder there are so many uninsured young drivers out there.
He's a sensible lad anyway.
Really? Good customer service and insurance companies aren't two phrases that I would associate anyway; but their quote came in at 30% of the nearest rival. And with an excess that is more than the car is worth, I really don't plan on making any claims ( I know no one PLANS on claiming, but if...
As above, anyone here tried this? Or know anyone that has?
Insurance has now got to the stage where I seriously cannot afford to insure my son's car... (£1200 last year, renewal has come through at £2027 and the nearest I can get with ANYONE else is over £3k)
However, with a smartbox, it...
are you going to take the M3 mirrors and sideskirts off completely, or just loosen them as you say?I'd recommend taking them off completely otherwise they'll just rattle...
I'll be on the phone to Flux on Monday then. My premium (with my 17 year old new driver son on it) has just gone from £1250 last year to £2020 this year. With an £800 excess for him.
For goodness sake. Just put a new bumper and tailgate on (if you really need a tailgate) and beat the dent out of the wheel well.
Then chalk it up to experience and stop whinging.
You, are a tw*t. You would have got 6 points for being uninsured. ANYONE who drives without insurance deserves to lose their licence. And if you modify your car to look like a Cliosport, your insurance premiums are going to go up almost as much as if you bought a sport in the first place; unless...
well my insurance (having put my 17 year old son on the policy as a learner) went from £200 odd up to £1200, and my excess went from £100, up to £400 (with me driving) or £400 plus an additional £400 excess with him driving in the event of a claim.
renewal's just come through, and guess what...
