It's very rare for a body or pedal to fail, it's normally a bad connection but just unplugging and plugging it back in again generally sorts it but that leads some people to think they did actually have a faulty unit in the first place.
Spoke to nick a while ago and am sure he was trying different things to pack it with but can't remember exactly what he said though sorry.
I've often thought if it's the metal spring that's potentially the issue but would be reluctant to try something non metallic though.
Ah, the lovely filtered manifold pics, ask yourself why it's filtered? Surely you'd want to show off how nice the welds are?
Plus if you're goimg to use a filter at least do it properly...
personally i would want a harness mounted at a minimal angle, there is a bit of a kerfuffle about a low angle and submarining etc but i'd still rather be safe than sorry. broke my back once and wouldn't want to do it again ;)
i recognise the reg on the rb but don't think i've seen the car in the flesh unless it was before it was stripped out.
philm's rb is for sale, he's prescot way ish?
no real reason why it should be bad low down? no air leaks on the spindles? also what injectors you running?
not sure exactly what mark's are done to but should be fine.
it's already been mapped?
My lad picked a c3 up off eBay pretty cheap a few months ago.
As for importing I personally would wait a bit as the exchange isn't exactly wonderful at the mo.
