Nothing random about it, there was supposed to be plenty of mk1's there ;)
We got rather a nice selection of engines in those mk1's as well, F4R :dead:, williams on std inlet & 1 with ITB's, spider with ITB's, F7P Turbo, F7P with ITB's
There's about 3 or 4 people travelling up from Essex so you could join the convoy, we do it in style with BBQ, camping & large quantities of alcohol so it's worth the long trip ;)
You'll need the entire wiring loom, ecu, coolant pipes & engine mounts, possibly the power steering pipes I'd have thought
The easiest way to do it would be to have the donor car right next to you when doing the conversion so you can just nick everything off it
I need to ask a favour from anyone who attended this meet, it's being featured in PFC magazine so if you want to be in it I just need your name, specs of the car & your comments on the results, will also need a picture of the car in question, preferably with it on the rollers.
If you could PM...

Who's bloody idea was it to be up this early? :banghead:
I'll see you there guys, if there's any problems like forgetting the form, come & find me. When I'm not on the rollers, my car is the red mk1 with black wheels & will be in the car park with some spare forms ;)
Are any of you guys on here any good at working a camera?
I need someone with some camera skills to take pics on the day so I can get them sent to PFC magazine, they can't make it themselves but have said if I get some decent pics & a write up sent to them we'll get the day featured in the...

I'd say so, quite easily.
Put it in lengthways & diagonally instead (the ladies love it like that) :rasp: ie: don't put the bonnet into the boot the same orientation as it's fitted to the car, turn it through 90 degrees so the front of the bonnet is facing the side of the car, then tilt it up...
But that's the boring & expensive way of doing things  & by decent engine I mean dropping a valver, williams or even F4 lump in it, plus his mk1 is pretty decent it just lacks the grunt to make it a hell of a lot of fun to drive, going mk3 will be a massive step back in the fun...

I'm organising a rolling road day with the guys on clio16valver at Surrey Rolling Road on the 1st October.
Now we've got loads of mk1's going but would like to get a decent mix of other clios there & other cars are also more than welcome to attend.
Providing we get enough people to run we're...
Think about insisting some money is knocked off the price to make up for the fact the belts are well overdue or that they get them done before you consider buying it
Similar to what we did with my car;
"shall we fit some 50mm downdraft IDA flange ITB's to a DCOE manifold onto a valver and then make it work with the standard flywheel? While we're at it shall we make a megane 225 centre section exhaust fit as well?"
"Fcuk yeah! Shall we take it on track when...
