Hi,
I’ve forgot where these go since putting my new engine in...
Can anyone tell me what goes in this clip?
And where does this bolt to?
Cheers,
Rick

Hi,
I fitted an generic inner boot to the drivers side shaft but sure enough the clip hit the block.
I’m tempted to buy the OE inner boot kit as these appeared to be available when I was in with the dealer.
Does anyone know what tool is required or how do you fit the flat boot clips...
I’m not sure if I’ve locked my car or not. I tested it but the bonnet was up I think. My car isn’t on the road yet so hasn’t been outside or parked anywhere requiring locking it. I definitely haven’t locked the car since reconnecting the battery after it was disconnected for two weeks.
Mine is...
Starts and drives fine. No interference with the immobiliser.
The centre drain was blocked in the scuttle and I assume the siren was drowned and this is the result of that. I bought the car like this so I’m not sure of the history of it.
It runs down the battery slowly with the light burning...
I read this on here but I asked the parts man at the dealers, on one of the many times I’ve been in recently and I seen it on the screen.

Some more work done to the RB yesterday
Sorted my problem with the ABS ring. They had sent me the wrong rings! Fitted new ABS rings on both sides. Only one was broke but thought I'd replace both while I had the shafts out.
We fitted the new OE spark plugs, torqued them and fitted the upper...
Keep it!
My first car was a 1.2 8v clio my mum had from new. When I was 8 lol.
I drove it 2.5 years having other cars in between. Was always so glad to get into it after selling the other cars (could only insure one car at a time)
I crashed it and I regret it bitterly. That car would never...
Some work done to the RB yesterday.
@Tom_1990 and I got the engine into the car and onto all its mounts. Some wiring and PAS pipes fitted also
I also replaced the O/S inner CV boot
The ABS ring was broken on the same shaft so I ordered 2 new ones off ebay. I didn't know at this stage...
Fitted the new LUK kit to the flywheel
When the original engine came out we swapped the lower inlets
And fitted a new AUX belt kit
Cleaned the throttle body before attaching it to the inlet
And thats up to date.
Engine and gearbox now need assembled and set into the car.
A bit of work done to the RB on Friday night and yesterday.
The replacement engine had a slight leak at the rocker cover, so we decided it was a good time to reseal it.
New cam seals fitted also
And then timed with genuine Renault kit and new dephaser
That was friday evenings work...
Tonight @Tom_1990 and I started work on the replacement engine. The crank seal was leaking and the sump was leaking also. Off with the sump to remove the main bearing cap to reseal also as it was leaking from here too.
Check your oil pickup if your ever in here!
New seal in
All...
Hi,
When I got my car I noticed the alarm LED on solid. The scuttle drain near the siren was blocked so it has been wet.
When I lock the car with the bonnet open it doesn't do the high pitched whine.
Anyone had this issue?
Cheers,
Rick
What is the best sealer for the main bearing cap? I was in buying the seal amongst many other things today from my local dealer and they reckon the Renault sealant will do this. I’ve seen it mentioned on here that the Renault sealant is no good. What do you guys think?
