Drivers inner CV OE inner boot fitting

Hi,

I fitted an generic inner boot to the drivers side shaft but sure enough the clip hit the block.

I’m tempted to buy the OE inner boot kit as these appeared to be available when I was in with the dealer.

Does anyone know what tool is required or how do you fit the flat boot clips?

Between £35-£40 can’t quite remember but it was listed and available.

Get a whole new shaft for 55 quid. A few people use these (inc me) and they are fine. Although that part of the block could do with being ground down anyway

That’s not badly priced actually. Did you grind that bit of the block away?

I think for the effort saved and it being new its completely worth it.

Yes I took off quite a bit but it doesnt need much
