Yep.. Put me down for when ever as the track car is in for cam belt and Schrick cams. Even thou it’ll be mapped I’ve always had a reading from SRR so it would be good to compare results with new cams.
Hi. Some help please
I’ve bought a Mocal gauge plate to run a racetech dual oil temp and pressure gauge in the Clio. I already have a thermostatic oil cooler sandwich plate fitted to the engine.
Can I just fit the new gauge plate in front or behind the oil cooler sandwich plate with another...
I’ve been running a ktec built engine for 8 years now with their itb’s never had a problem with it apart from new injectors. Basically built to oe spec but with 84mm high compression pistons and rods...also got arp bolts for piece of mind and 182 manifold.
Pretty standard head/cams with uprated...
What dB does it blow at 4K revs? Has the exhaust system have a mid silencer? How old is it?
I found my old ktec recessed exhaust got very loud and boomy after a few years.. So to be sure I wouldn’t have a problem I went with the 172 Pure motorsport exhaust. My system is 182 manifold, sport cat...
I’ve heard of this..I used the same grease used to pack joints of large plant equipment like tractors/manitou’s.
Definitely quietens the vibrations down..
I’ve done the 280mm brembo conversion for 15” wheels. You won’t get 300mm conversion under 15” they are for 16” wheels or bigger.
If doing it again I’d be going for the willwood kit as the caliper is a lot slimmer than the Brembo one and any wheel will fit.
Kam racing do some lovely big brake...
Thank you all (y) (y) Had a great time on track even thou I was having problems getting 3rd gear at the wiggler and bishops..driving by everybody was great...time for some one to replace my synchros!!
Video is quite long with me going slightly quickly but many of you blasting past me. Also time...
How long is a while? 10years? If so you might as well make it as you want it. In the long run you’ll probably save money rather than losing money buying and selling cars.
I know the event time table says gates open at 8am but can track drivers arriving Saturday morning come in earlier than 8am to setup? Just seems that 1 hour to get tickets checked...find a spot...get car ready..something to eat...driver briefing...say hello to fellow CSers will be such a rush...
Get the pure gear linkage... it’s like cocking a rifle with every gear change.
Quaife differential is probably the best mod For these.....all understeer vanishes
Groupe n timing / 197 cams.. both mods need a remap. Seems to give nice little gains on the engine
Decent rubber... semi slick...
It might be something to do with the date change as my wife always has something booked on the August bank Holiday.
Anyway...green light was given for this one. It’s ok...I’m not under her thumb!
Can’t wait!!
They replaced my mid section under warranty on my 182 ultra exhaust when my trophy was in a couple of months ago. They may have done it as a good will gesture as I was spending quite a bit gettting oil leaks/cam belt and bits and pieces done.
@Nathan Evan I'm only running a 283mm to get them under a 15” wheel as I’m to tight to pay for 16” tyres. I’ve also got the ds1:11 pads..they took a bit of running in but really good bite. I did have CL rc6 pads in standard callipers and Tarox f2000 disc which needed hardly any running in, I...
I’ve got the brembo conversion. Yes they are very good and give a bling factor but for me they are that much better than the standard setup with decent pad.
There is the benefit of better cooling and weight saving...I've also have 2 piece discs as well to save some more unsprung weight.
What I...
@Radugns. It will definitely be the pads you are using then.
Even standard Renault pads for Brembo’s should be more than enough for road/fast driving.
The ds1.11 type pads are great but very noisy when braking lightly.
