I removed it on my own somehow. I think I might 'steal a reg to send with my ebay purchase to cheat the system, pretty annoyed as I used my 15% discount code
I bought this cat last night for my 02 172 but they have cancelled it saying is not legal on an 02 plate. It has the exact same part number as all the other BM Catalysts cats except being a fair bit cheaper.
The only thing I can think that would be incorrect is it only having a post cat lambda...
Just spoke to Ktec about their sports cat, when pressed about their guarantee and MOTs they said 'should' pass they but only if very hot. Much confidence Invoked!
Worth a punt for £400 surely, I bet there is rust though. Look under the fuel cap, around rear beam mounts, actually the whole rear underside and around the brakeline brackets in the front arches.
I'd say 126k is low miles too, only 7k a year
Finally started fitting new inner tie rods and rod ends, wishbones and powerflex arb bushes along with a bit of tidy up like the subframe to chassis bars etc.
The inner bushes are perished but no noticable play, for the grief involved I may leave them. Good idea?
I wonder if cutting an copy of the filler hole out and bonding it to the backside with seam sealer before spraying it up would add some needed rigidity?
Sadly mine had rust behind the stone chip that had caused a 10mm hole the top of the inner arch above the filler, where Russ has rust on his. I treated it and whacked some body filler over it then have spent the next year trying to erase my memory of it.
I think I paid £100 to get mine blasted and powdercoated, very chippy though as @npt says. A bit disappointing really but it looked like an anchor beforehand
I think those links above haven't actually shown the sizes I used Russ but M10 x 1.5 nuts and I think I would M10 20mm washers not sure what form though c or b?
