Yeah on volantechs website they list a non esp (cup) and with esp (172/182)

Any ideas on my query @Louis, 172 non cup with no esp but with retro cc/speed limiter. Do I need the boss for non esp cars still?

Can't be much different to swapping a wheel over or retrofitting cruise control, just plugs I'd imagine

Yeah but they do two bosses, one for 172 non esp, one for with esp but as I've added cc and limiter I'm not sure if the difference is to allow for the cables

So which boss from volantech do I need for a ph2 172 with cruise and speed limiter?

Oh that makes it an easier choice then, what is the difference with a non esp and esp steering wheel boss? My 02 172 has no esp buy I have added cruise and speed limiter so do I still need the non esp boss?

People with volantech panels, out of curiosity what colours have have you gone for? I assume they are always laid out horn at top then cc on the lower two on 6 button panels.

I do as James said. Lovely time of year to be playing with rust, be prepared for some frights around the rear beam mount area. Definitely get it off as mine had rust creating under it. Oh and get the fuel tank off too while you're at it.

I've had the beam off and back on, lining it up with a tape measure so I'm quite impressed it's that aligned

For me personally I doubt it, but then I spent the remainder on ther hobbies because I'm greedy!

Well this is what I went with, my ghetto home camber and toe alignment wasn't all that far out. Corners so well now though, set up by Lea Wood who used to race in the clio Cup series I believe

I was thinking of getting the front end of my 172 resprayed but this time of year its a shade of mud most of the time and I only use it sporadically. Saved some cash to spend on the Tiguan for when it goes wrong next, which it did!

Leave it white, simple cheap option. £30 on new plates job done!
