Thread 'Water leaking into footwells - How to renew inner door seal' https://www.cliosport.net/threads/water-leaking-into-footwells-how-to-renew-inner-door-seal.829946/
I'm still thinking of changing the steering wheel in my 172 for something smaller, currently looking at a Volantech Uno has anyone fitted one or seen one in the flesh?
Mine had been parked facing uphill slightly so I also had water in the rear wells. Over time yes I don't see why it couldn't fill up, as its known to leak there I'd get it sealed in anycase.
My heater box was doing exactly this, it's only a foam seal on the original one that perishes. I used gutter sealant having cleaned the old foam off first.
Cleaned the white plug in the fusebox with 1000 wet and dry and packed with silicone grease as suggested by @Touring_Rob. Wait and see now, the only bit I couldn't do was the socket side of the plug, can't see a way of safely getting to them without risk of damaging them.
Code was P0120 yet...
Engine light and the middle squiggly job and in limp mode. I've noticed the knock sensor plug has a crack in the connector so it's not making a great contact but other than that I definitely have a throttle problem that wasn't solved with replacing the pedal.
This guy worked on my 172 before I got it I think😄, how the hell someone managed to rip the battery tray mounting bolt through the shock turret on mine I'll never know.
