I used it on my old FRS, only fitted it to the rear lights, side repeaters and lower rear bumper fogs/reverse lights, I didn't do it to the headlights tho.
rear lights before and after:
Yes.
if its that tight to squeeze in, slacken off the couple of 13mm bolts that hold the black bar on to the gearbox, not loads but just enough to give you that extra couple of mm grace.
I like the idea of one but would like to see some more pictures at a different angle to see where it sits in relation to the steering wheel.
for me the picture already shown is a little deceiving.
as per Mark (Space Cadet) if I decide I want one Id not be worried about saving £20 if it meant...
Nick, I wasn't so worried about it being a quick shift as such, I can full well understand that a typical gearbox would start to suffer if you tried to change any quicker.
Nick Cup's question is very good.
the standard setup I had adjusted/altered to move the gearstick back towards the driver...
197 interior, the decent high back Recaro front seats, and complete rear bench assembly etc.
what would this be worth at a realistic price for a quick sale?
cheers :)
Gotcha, cheers Mike.
spotted from his page, also seems to have a close working relationship with a company called JHR Developments.
could be a good man to make contact with if the 197 idea comes off.
Is this him?

Dave, just spotted your edited comment.
ABS hasn't been touched at this stage.
PAS has been deleted, new rack etc fitted, but all factory kit is still kept safe in the unit as per the day it was removed ;)
Tony, Who/what is Josh Cook?
probably break the T if I'm honest Dave, I have someone lined up for a fair bit of it already, and a few bits id want to keep.
at realistic cheap sale prices I should see £4-4.5k back out of it easily enough.
If you need a pair of spring clamps Bobby, your welcome to mine for a few days!?
i can pop them in the post tomorrow if need be, just post them back in a weeks time :)
failing that, you can buy some basic ones for about £20 in halfords.
I'm looking at the possibility of snapping up a 197, I believe its a cup.
the intention is to pull it apart and make it a new trackday replacement for the Trophy.
i know this site seems to be 172/182 dominated, but surely there are a good few 197 owners lurking about.
has anyone changed over...
How to Price a Trophy shell?
im sure many know of the shed Trophy as owned by Sir Dave and Nick172Cup of Failsport fame.
im currently weighing up the possibilities of breaking the car, not for any reason or issues with the car, but I've told myself I'd always move on to a white 197 and then...
I think if it were me, I'd look at getting more air around the brakes as per Tony's comment.
Bin the EBC pads and look at done decent options, and then get sone decent fluid in there and see how it performs next time on track.
these are far from expensive tasks and could make a very good...
