removing H&R lowering springs on a 197 front damper.

Hi chaps,

Abit of a far fetched question here, im possibly buying some H&R lowering spring from someone for the 197. now their still on the dampers which i dont want and what i need to find out is, does he need to clamp the springs before removing the top hat?

As their lowering springs i would of thought they would be ok to remove without clamps but i dont want him to get a top hat in the mouth :quiet:

As their not really low, I'd say they will need clamping.

If you need a pair of spring clamps Bobby, your welcome to mine for a few days!?
i can pop them in the post tomorrow if need be, just post them back in a weeks time

failing that, you can buy some basic ones for about £20 in halfords.

But their not with me, their with the seller who is in Essex unfortunately. the plan is to get them off and then i pay for them and he sends them to me.
