What you have to realise is that tuition on a test day is far more advanced than that at a trackday, they may be the same people doing the teaching but they will have a different agenda due to restriction that are in place (Usually Mr Palmer) lol

Re the braking issue mate, sounds like the brake discs have warped, this could give you a lock up as when the high point travels through the pads it will grab, once the tyre has locked up you would need to come off the brakes to release the disc,

We had the same problem both at Oulton and Donny, We scratched our heads for ages, First off it was so noticable in the laptimes, my 4th lap would be our fasted, from that point on times would drop and I'd be running wide on the exits, Tyre temps were nowhere near high enough to be going off...
Tony- Arrives 2 weeks prior and sleeps in his camper van
Russ- Too posh to sleep in a caravan so gets a hotel
Sonny- Doesnt care what anyone thinks so sleeps in his car
Dinger- Stupidly large Tent, travels down the day before
Pete/Sam- Arrives in the morning fresh faced!
This is true Russ, so come on Tony, pull your finger out as its our turn to kick you up the ar*se to get it done
And I do ok with a standard engine!!!!!!!

You've got to be very unlucky to land a car on its roof that hard!
Although the cage collapsed you can see how easy it is to have an accident like that at what was relatively low speed by the point of contact with the tyres.
A trackday car without a cage and don't think you'd be winning any...

My boy is 4 and goes on a petrol kart every sunday morning, the track near me allows them from 5 but he is tall enough, at 6 I will be getting him a bambino kart which the local track run on the big track one evening a week.
