Steel...! Want an ali one....
So back to the question if the 172 ports are bigger than a megane (albeit same profile) will the jenvery manifold leave a step as the drawing indicates that the port shape is the same size ?
The port sizes are different on the F7R megane and the Clio but on the jenvey drawings it shows them the same size?
What are the options for an ITB manifold for an F7R Megane head?
Caster adjustment is loosen the balljoint on the wish bone and give it a tap and then tighten again. You can adjust around 30mins usually.
3 degress camber on the back and 1/2 on the front ? Have you put some shims in the rear?
Cup racers Uk one used ET 43 and Euro spec ran ET48....
ET38 were just another offset Speedline make but not used on Cup racers but theres no reason you couldnt use them as they dont catch the arch.
Monotube ones are very good but the std fast road ones are crap... They do 2 and 3 way montube ones and very popular in motorsport circles and well recommended.
You get what you pay for, well i hope so with these Reigers :-)
Wow that light cup racers are 950 with 1 seat so with 2 seats, tank and sump guard, hand held extinguisher, still with steel bonnet and boot and glass.
My std cup racer was 960kg with 2 seat belts.
Gen90 becomes even more expensive if you want to fit it to a cup racer. Great solution but totally overpriced and a real shame.
1800 (800 quid extra than normal Gen90 price) for a 50 quid adaptor loom..., 800 pounds is a lot to pay for just conveinience...
If you get an adaptor loom made for the cup car from the 55pin engine loom to an OMEX 600/DTA S60 for example what functionality will you loose on the Magnetti Marelli dash ? Would cost 50 quid to make.
In the same boat too and the Ktec solution is great but if it was 1000 max and i would have purchased straight away but 1800 (800 quid for an adaptor) gets you a better dash as good an ECU as Ian says and a pukka wiring loom too.
Shame try to convince myself to buy it but carnt at the price.
No. JB3 and JC5 are different internals. This is Robs B and is totally overpriced 1500 quid was the £ last one that sold. Sequentials are 3-4k now doubt it would sell.
Its also been used and the recepit from SWR (if there is one) wont be recent.....
Great thread. Uniball systems have been used by so many car groups (90s Vauxhalls balljoints are very weak so you see most comp cars changing to this type of system).
Cup racer stuff is great but still fragile as the pictures suggest.
Cup racer rear springs are 400lbs (well all the ones i have...
Sorry its taking the F7R ITB engine from the old rallycar into the cup racer (no issues with flywheel etc.)? I have an Omex loom from a 172 ITB engine and wandered if im going to have to change all the connectors and extend wire lengths etc..? Or just but an new loom and start again.
Would an Omex loom for a F4R work for a F7R, guessing all the sensors are the same connectors and in the same place (ish) ? Would any mods be needed ?
Any feedback ?
Great torque curve from 5-7k, very similar to mine 172 engine but flatter and holds on at the top end like my F7R one in the pink car.. I bet the head will have something to do with that. Will go very well :-)
200/580 are the size you want equivelant to a 205/45.
Cup racers ran 19/57 or 190/570 which would be a 195/45ish
180s are too narrow so us 185min to 200max, the race tyres are very square so have more contact patch than a road tyre etc.
