Get a 5.25 dont get anything else. Look for video of my pink car on Youtube and here and you will have everything you need to see. Hardly use first gear and second is like a long first and perfect for tight corners / chicanes.
Dont buy the one with an a avanti LSD in. It will need a to be rebuilt and won't be cheep. Get solid mounts both top mounts and a solid dogbone and PMS shifter to take the slop out and it will feel a thousand times better. Get a lsd ad and final drive it's as good as getting 50 bhp. Yellow stuff...
Dont be put off with the STDSA box its great but as people say any sadev will cost a lot and any second hand one will need a full service and won't be cheap unless your really lucky. You can still get all the parts for the STDSA, final drives which was an issue can be had from gripper and fit...
You will be lucky on the Reiger for that price they are 4k now (if you inc VAT) in 2014. But there is a higher spec damper thats 4k per corner and one above that but depends on the Euro exchange rate. Proflex were 4400 and Ohlins about 5k but there are many different types with Ohlins and again...
Spoke go the Reiger and Ohlins about this when I got the suspension for the rallycars and they advised its not the way to go. If you look at manufacturers proper developed competition cars they haven't gone that route. Renault for example on the cup racers even the current one and all the rally...
Cup racer rears are only 400 why this obsession with overly stiff rearbend? On my track car its on bilsteins 70/45 n/m springs and it's perfect for road track etc.
Anyone noticed this there are two sizes 1 longer than the other, so moves the hub out different distances! Only found out by chance when sorting through my spares. Maybe the uk and euro cars were different and that's why the ran et 48 wheels to compensation for the wider ball joint holder vs...
Do you need to ensure both the wishbone and the steering arm angles are corrected ? Do you visually measure it by the being parallel to each other or just to the ground?
Some clips I was sent from the event.

Glad your all Ok, bugger i recently sold a mint Trophy rolling shell.!!
If you need any bits let me know as i have most stuff. If you were running with Merriman then thats pretty impressive, We did Llanbedr and he was quicker than us and nearly won the event but it was very point and sqirt so...
Yes was me in my trackday car, had a really good day It was running on old tyres, std gearbox with no LSD and dead std brakes so was expecting the tin top cars to be quicker....... It would be well under 2mins a lap with just a diff in it.
good footage.
Used to run a Pink Mk1 clio and the new car is as quick out the box but potential to be a lot quicker. Had a few 2nd & 3rd O/A and class wins in the past but this was the first event and lhd and the suspension needs some work too.
Fingers crossed its a cheep fix but I doubt it. You sons car looked very nice, had a little look round.
Next event who knows depends on what needs doing. Only thing I wasn't so happy with the car was the high speed stability, any advise on what clicks your running on you Reigers would be very...
It's got a shorter final drive so 118 max in 6th. Event ok for a first test not much to hit, very open and very fast. The organisers were very slow sorting the stages but may have been lack of marshals.
First event in car footage, lens a bit blurred with a smudge. First event in 18 months and lhd so some learning to do but car is good but suspension a bit soft at the rear, brakes are mentally good though, breaking early everywhere!
We're upto 6th o/a but car cut out like it ran out of fuel and...
