Thanks guys good to meet some of you.
Was a hectic rally for us so no chance to come across for a chat. We finished in the end after loosing a minute after the water splash nearly every stage. We were 4th o/a half way but bumped to 7th with the issues. Shame really as we were quicker than all...
Rally cars do full bore start at the begining of each stage.....plus its changing from 1st to 2nd that get most hammer. Dont under estimate gearbox movement under breaking and comming down the gear. Overall solid mounts will incres gearbox longagevity especially on comp cars.
Quite the opposite from running competition clios for some time. Having the engine and box solid/ridgidly mounted limits the time the gearbox doesnt quite select a gear cleanly in hard use and accelerates syncro wear and potential gear damage. This is backed up by increase lonegevity when i did...
After the disapointment of an early exit due to a sheared cam vernier dowel pin (timed back up and all OK - should put on my lottery numbers) we did our second event at the weekend at the New Brighton Prom stages, massive entry of 95 and the usual WRC, Millington Mk2 and Darrians etc etc.

Re: Pink rally car replacement.....it lives...! LATEST RALLY UPDATE
Just a quick update, not sure if anyone went to see the event.
After the disapointment of an early exit due to a sheared cam vernier dowel pin (timed back up and all OK) we did our second event at the weekend at the New...
Would have put the injectors on the second part of the manifold rather than the Jenvey manifold which is mated to the head. Would be a lot better as they look to close to the head.
With the set up you have you will notice very little / if any difference between 45mm parallel or 48mm tapered ITBs 120mm trumpet do give a little more mid range torque, you would need a lot higher spec for it to be really noticable. If you have a Gen 90ECU then the Ktec kit maybe for you but i...
Wouldnt bother just get some decent dampers and you dont need it. I have the PM rear beam kit (Reiger dampers) and its as good as anything out there.... Would focus elsewere..
Lots of people make sweeping statements who don't even compete (currently not at a level were actual components are holding the performance of the car back), your comment were quite clear just highlighting that's it's not the case. DS3000 are a great choice and as good as nearly any pad out...
Nonsence, DS3000 are a cracking pad and great value as well vs pagid and CL and PF I have them on current and previous rally car front and rear and yes the rears do make a difference if running a proper brake set up with adjustment. Class trophy nearly every time out......
Regards won't be...
Sold the Pink one (Broke it up and got more money, the grey one is as quick out the box and lots more potential. Just need to get it out to be honest.... Work work work...
Will try and get pics, i have the longer ones fitted but have modded them to be shorter to get a better roll center as its not as low as a cup racer set up with the Reigers on.
Just looked at my spares and the there are 2 lengths of extender pin, the Euro car have bigger holders and shorter pins and the UK car had smaller holders and longer pins...............!!! Threads are the same length....bet there are cars with a mix and match and dont know.!
