If I'm honest looking at the numbers I'm pretty disappointed but once I'm in the car driving it I'm over the moon with how it feels and the mid range torque which it gained is very noticeable. Got Blyton and Cadwell booked for March and April so looking forward to that and seeing how much the...
Are you talking about the second graph with the 140ish bhp? If so that's at the wheels pal. I should of mentioned that the first graph is flywheel and second is power at wheels and AFR.
Yeah pal
Not sure whether to be disappointed or not?
I've not been around Clios much so my knowledge is pretty limited but I was thinking a Clio 182 was 182PS so about 180BHP but I accept its an 11 year old engine so I replaced HT leads, injectors, coil pack and pre cat lambda sensor just to make sure...
Just measured my old pre cat sensor off a 182 and its 480mm
Edit.. I changed mine yesterday pal and its a piece of piss, I just jacked up the passenger side and was able to access it easily.
I've just fitted some PMS 5mm spacers to the front wheels to bring them inline with the rears. I'm using standard wheel nuts and to be honest it's right on the limit. I drive like miss daisy on the roads so I'm comfortable with it but when I'm on track they'll be removed when I fit my track wheels.
Look fantastic.. Really need to pull my finger out and do mine.
I saw an arctic blue Clio on Friday near tunnel at frenchgate at around 12 in afternoon.. Wasn't you by any chance was it?
Not sure about anyone local to you but I've just had mine done from a company called ms custom engineering, he's on Facebook and eBay... Probably same bloke RichieJA is talking about.
Forgot what the lads called now but he's sound and does a top quality job. You can buy a set outright, send him...
That's how all trophys should end up looking.. Doing what they do best. Not a fan of these garage queens... If you want something to store away then buy a classic ford not a Clio.
Removed some unneeded weight out of the engine bay.. Engine hoist mounts, standard airbox mounts and a random lump of pig iron under drivers side engine mount.
Also did a little painting to tidy up the engine bay.
Looks spotless.. Really nice cup. Wish I had colour in my life instead of a dirty black gold
Front end looks a tad high though compared to back? Is that due to solid top mounts? I've read they can raise the height a little.. Not sure if that true.
Doesn't the ECU have to recognise the same fault a certain number of times before it throws up a warning light? That's probably why it hasn't come back on straight away.
I know with Javelin they say your car doesn't need an MOT but it is advised that it's upto MOT standard.
It had 39k miles on clock in 2010 and now in 2016 it has 41k miles... Needs belts, full service including all fluids changed, new leads, coil pack and injectors maybe brakes and tyres then...
Silver turinis do look good on a dark coloured cars (looks more classy) but I hate silver on silver... Best to go with a darker colour. Black wheels do look good when there clean but you will loose detail and unless your prepared to keep on top of tyre blacking then I wouldn't bother as black...
A 7J wheel (same width as the standard 172 and 182 wheels) are suited for both 195 and 205 tyres. From the factory 172s came with a 16/45/195 tyre and 182s came with 16/45/205. I personally like the look of a 205 tyre better as a 195 road tyre looks slightly stretched. If it's a 182 I'd...
I've just done mine with Elf NFJ 75W-80. Unless you got a modified box/lsd I'd stick with Renaults recommended standard Elf NFJ 75W-80 for a standard box.
I fitted my PMS exhaust with sport cat just over a couple of months ago and I've got fairly mixed reviews. The quality is fantastic all fits together perfectly and aligns with the rear bumper perfectly. The Audi exhaust mounts which it uses are fantastic and pretty much solid.. No longer get...
Everything looks fine it's just the top mount sits high. You can see a faint white ring where the original ones used to sit. The car is on flat level ground with wheels pointing straight ahead.
It's just a bit concerning as it'll be getting a lot of use on track. Must be a pretty poor design...
I've just fitted new cup dampers, top mounts and cooksport springs to my 182. The problem is the new top mounts sit above the suspension turret whereas the old ones I removed fit perfectly.
This is what the new top mounts look like..
These are the top mounts I've bought with a new spacer...
@dann2707 Squeaky bum time lol.. There's a lot of movement in them seats, should they be like that? Don't seem very rigid and I was looking at buying clubsports too.
I've just done a suspension refresh and added some camber to the front and I don't like how the front wheels sit a little further into the arch than the rears. I'm wanting to space the front wheels out by 5mm each side only. I'm going to buy a set from Pure Motorsport...
Personally I think they look gash. I personally think a good clean set of standard 182 seats will look miles better than any cheap aftermarket alternative.
Are you looking to replace them with aftermarket seats or would you consider fitting a good set of standard seats? Plenty of people...
Don't 182s come from the factory with 16 45 205 size tyres? and 172s 16 45 195?
The turinis are a 7J rim so would suit a 205 tyre perfectly... Would you be best off buying 205s?
The stiff plastic tube that goes into the back of the 172 manifold is for the brake servo I think pal.
If your going to Renault and tell them roughly what part your after and they'll bring up a parts diagram on computer and then just show them what part you require.
Some service stations offer this service along with some tyre places.. Think my local kwik fit do it but be careful though as some places aren't properly regulated so even though they offer nitrogen it might not be 100% and may contain small amounts of other gases. If your having this done make...
Are you saying the tyres on the passenger side don't loose any air but if you put the same wheels/tyres on the drivers side they do? That's strange.
Tyres will naturally loose air/pressure over time as the oxygen molecules are tiny so the can seep past the rubber molecules... That's a benefit...
