It lasts fore... quite well :-) I would say still looking good up to 12 months, a quick top up cant hurt if you want it looking tip top, the bottle lasts a long time.
I got a bottle to do my 147 gta front grille about 6 years ago, used it for quite a few bits and bobs over the years, still...
Forever black gets my vote. I would remove the trim ideally to apply, this stuff is actually black and a bit messy, also the trim needs to be cleaned thoroughly to avoid streaks.
I did my wing mirror while it was off for something else.
Heres a guide

The need to torque them can be debated at length ! The packet for the NGK plug does tell you how tight to go using just a regular wrench.
Looking forward to seeing this done, I sat in a naples red one at the 1995 nec motorshow and knew I had to have one, bought a Monaco one in 96, takes me right back seeing this in standard trim.
Next time it is idling high, don't touch anything, pop the bonnet and push the throttle body against its end stop using the black plastic disc the cable attaches to, to see of it was on the end stop or not quite. If its hard on the end stop and the revs stay high its definitely not the butterfly...
Unless you can get them from Renault / & for less I will be going for these at £24, more than I was expecting for a bit of corrugated rubber ! but the web shows £20 is typical for any car...
I replaced both the rear shocks after one of the rears failed. As the fronts are also 12 years old I thought I would treat it to a new pair up front. Just picked up my new shocks from Renault and they don't come with any sort of boot / cover on the shaft. The boots / dust covers on the old...
Are there any road signs or markings indicating they could pass the exit in the left lane, was there a double headed arrow (left and straight on) in the left lane or road sign leading up to the roundabout ? You crossed the path the other car took, were they taking that path legitimately ?
Im...
Ok, fitted the slam panel seal (its PH2 width, from the group buy, so not all the way across like the original, hopefully keep the aluminium in good order (it's cleaned, not painted).
More interestingly, I bought a new throttle cable and this got me looking at the adjustment of the old one, I...
I cant say I'm not ! I don't think I would have gone down the road of hunting one down (as in a car I first owned 11 years ago) at random to re live the old days, but the fact it was 'the one' I bought new meant I couldn't say no.
Plenty more bits done with the weather better.
A rear shock suddenly dumped a puddle of fluid onto the drive so two new rear shocks fitted.
The engine bay got some attention triggered by fitting a new set of spark plugs. Inlet off for a clean, ecu cover and air filter bracket off for respray...
If you need to watch on your tv from a direct feed this wont help but... an IP camera is what I would recommend, watch it on your PC, your phone from anywhere, works on your home wireless / wired network. These are what I have used and would recommend for entry level pricing
Foscam FI8918W...
Im very pleased with my Sony DSX S300BTX. Sounds good, mechless, bluetooth (no extra modules or mic's), ipod (or any USB storage) lives inside the HU. Nice clear display (with graphics turned off).
Here is the DOD model I will probably go for, the GS600

Costs a lot more than the many, many cheap and cheerful ones but the video quality across all...
Shine a very bright light on the screen (led on a phone should be good). If you can see the image fainty it is the backlight that has gone. As the tv is alive this is quite likely. It wil probably be the backlight board rather than the lamps themselves.
There is a good chance the board is...
I want to buy a decent in car DVR. Must power on and record automatically with ignition, then stop and switch off with ignition.
I bought a cheap one, but the video was poor, despite what the seller said and my best efforts at research, the output was interpolated up to 1080 and was crap (the...
One day I will have time to take a photo without a wheely bin in it, but in the meantime I will have to make do with this as my contribution to the appreciation thread :D
Cheers. That's a good question, I have to say I was expecting to feel a little disappointed when I finally got it back on the road due to its age but not a bit of it. It still feels great to drive and basically how I remembered, not at all tired or sloppy. Still has major fun factor.
Ok, lots of little bits done, car is pretty much there now.
Its just back from Birchdown having had a new cam belt, aux belt and a dephaser pulley. Forum opinion took me there and they didn't disappoint, top guys.
The seats were in pretty good order but had lost a little colour on the drivers...
Lots done but not so much updated so heres at least one little bit. A bit close to geeky detailing type stuff but... The wing mirror was off for another reason but I took the chance to hit it with some 'Forever Black' Ive been pleased with the results of this before.
