I was going to go for a Mixamp pro / AKG 551s or Sennheiser 558s and an inline mic, but when I saw these with 25% off I decided to take a punt. Much neater as they're wireless too. They won't be as able as good quality stereo 'phones though imo.

This. They really need to close the gap to Forza, and with a seeming 'lead' in the next gen race (in terms of pre-orders / sales) and a more powerful console in comparison to the One, they really do have every opportunity to make it great.

Plasma seriously > LED. OLED is great tech with near undetectable black level light, but whether the early sets will have decent longevity and stability remains to be seen. Also curved screens can blow me.

Looking for a half decent set of surround sound headphones for the PS4, though details are thin on the ground right now - any recommendations? Seems the TurtleBeach PX4s have problems with the chat / mute function - so also considering Triton Pro + or 720+. Happy to spend up to £150.

So it seems overall the XBOne edges the PS4 in initial reviews though it's a pretty insignificant difference. Also seems the new controllers tweaks over the 360 version aren't resoundingly welcome.
