@Amos91 solved it! I thought theres nothing to lose in pulling one of these pumps apart, so pulled the cover from the end with the inlet and outlets on. You know the well known fix for the valve, well it would appear that a similar issue is what causes the pumps to fail. The impeller sits over...
Ah sorry it's the drivers headlight motor that is whirring when operating the washers. With someone operating the washers I can hear the pumps click but no water or at least only very occasionally and only for a few seconds.
I think I'll strip it out and try the pumps in a bowl of water
Got a bit of a strange one with my screen washers, they are only working once every one and then and when not squirting I can hear the drivers side headlight motor run when the jets should be.
I've stripped it all down, cleaned and trimmed the pump rubbers back but no change
Painted my rear calipers silver to match the fronts I did a few weeks back, bled them all again to try and get the slight spongey feel gone but I've still got a bit of travel before they bite which is annoying.
Discovered when I stripped the scuttle down to seal the leaking heater box I've...
I'd thought the same regarding prepping a beam ready but the hassle and expense of getting hold of one is putting me off. Access to the bolt threads to clean them up is a bit of a PITA on axle stands too. Let me know how you get on as encouragement to get on with my own
That's my intention this summer as it looks like I wont get to drive it, not overly looking forward to it with the state of the bolts but it's a necessity due to some corrosion
Quick clean the started applying C4 to all the plastics, well annoyed to find another of my newly refurbed alloys has crazed so that's 2 out of 4!
Oh and as much as I love flame red I hate how much it fades! Anyone want to swap for an RB?
I dont think it's going to happen folks, no amount of DA'ing is going to blend the fade. It's going to be worse on the other side if I leave it debadged
I scrapped some off in me offside rear arch when doing the fuel flap that was consistently a good 2-3mm. I do like UB but only used the spray form which begins to run quite quickly so to get a thick coat I was finding difficult.
Not really got around to it yet, Coronavirus and an open fracture to my little finger have got in the way of spending money and working with two hands!
I think I'll wire brush as much as I can then coat in hydrate 80 before an epoxy mastic type underseal like the one BH sell. Doesnt need to be...
Stripped the rear interior out to check over and treat my sills again only this time with BH Hydrate 80 and S50. Pretty tidy for a once neglected 02 plate
