Might as well ask here. Should I just get these for my next tyre instead of ns2rs? Wouldnt normally care for longevity as performance>everything else, but my p zeros are nearly gone at 5000 on the fronts ?
Great stuff, really inspires me to get mine cleaned up and sharp! Ive used Atec a few times now btw and just about to again for some fittings for my pedal box :)
Unfortunately this sort of thing is out of my hands and am new to all this as well. So the uj is attached onto this sleeve with the bushing and the sleeve goes onto the splines.
If I understand this is the sort of thing you mean? joint welded straight on?

I just had another look and think it is bushed.. Its glued on with some rubber, nice and stronk ?
Do you reckon it could still be welded or is there anything else that could be done? I originally looked at new ones but they were 200 quid odd
I’ve just bought a column off eBay but its clear that there would be play in the steering as even though its not a lot you can twist the joint slightly from the splines or whatever it actually joins on to.
Has anyone welded or got the joint welded and has it lasted? My 182s not even on 80k yet...
Been in a battle with the car for months, missed multiple mot's, was late to one, reschedule 4-5 times... Went in and failed a couple weeks ago due to a brake leak, turns out it was just excess fluid in the bleed screw under the rubber nipple, no leaks obviously.. Steering has gone vague again...
Are you sure they were 205/55/15s and not 185's? The 16s will be wider and taller if they were 185s. Could be worn dampers but not sure could just be too big, trim back the plastic where it touches
Had the black one in with vibra technics gearbox mount and black dogbone bushes. Obvious improvement with throttle response and feel but took out it out and just use the gearbox mounts now as started to get more rattles that at the time I cba to find or deal with. The actual vibration once its...
Recently put a bucket seat in super low and Ive no room so just want to remove the door card, will they fail it on having sharp ish metal and crap right next to me? Cant move with it in place even just driving there is a hassle

For the brake rez Im thinking of just using the oem one as it has 2 ends for hoses so I easily keep the fluid sensor, also brake light switch could surly just be kept as well if a bracket was made for it?

Im looking at shaving down my brackets to suit 280 discs and wondered what sort of pads/discs are you using and whats the coverage like? Also I take it if I just got the brackets shaved down for 280mm I wouldnt be able to go to 15's after as the calipers would need shaving so the brackets would...
Just wanted to change what I said if people stumble across this thread. The 172 cup ecu and 182 ecus will light up the the same bulbs on the clocks. Its down to the wiring that effects the lights

Yes to 12mm, had to originally for the pms one. Doesnt protrude loads but catches plenty of the nyloc!
Wasnt sure but I think the evos are 10mm so would be straight fit if you got the evo one, not sure about the taper though

Mots now booked tuesday as all lights are off due to 172 cup forward loom. Will put the ds1.11 back in now that all the steering and brake stuff is sorted as well.
