Wanting somebody to sort the swirl marks out on my car, however the bumpers, wings and side skirts will not require this as they've just been sprayed.
Any idea of who can do it and how much it will cost?
I also require somebody to remove a few dints...so if anyone knows anyone that'll be...
true lol!
I'm toying with the idea of buying a second (s**t) car as a runaround, then putting the clio in the shop and stripping it to the bare metal...Get a newer engine in, get everything cleaned up so its like new...The only thing that is making me think twice is the fact that its only ever...
Should be able to source some dude, they have them in AC down the road for £25 :)
Only problem at the moment is time & funds, I've just paid my insurance in full (£1600) which was a huge decrease in price from last year, but at least now each pay cheque can be used for useful things lol.
I'm...
not a bad example, lose the rear lights for standards and definately lose the sport badges :)
Get it lowered like you said, swap the mirrors and it'll look a million times better :)
** UPDATE **
A week ago I ordered a few of the remaining parts I need to finish my rep.
I ordered a sport front bumper from a guy off here, I got it for a good price and it arrived quickly.
As I unwrapped the packaging I found a massive problem with it:
It had split as you can see, I...
You could try sanding it with 1200 and 2000, then use a cutting compound and when you've buffed that polish it up....I'd give you better advice if I could see it in the flesh, if it's deep at all you'll need to fill it.
I got a quote from Renault but it was like £200 for all 6 (front are in two pieces)...No way I'm paying that for bits of plastic lol.
This is the only thing thats preventing the car from being finished.
I am currently in the process of making my 1.2 a sport rep, I should have the front bumper, skirts and wing painted this week so I will have all of the bodywork ready to go on...However I have been told that I need the arch liners as they are different on the sport models...
Where is the best...
Depends on how old the car is, if the colour has faded even slightly you'll notice the difference.
Also depends whether the guys you use are good at mixing ;)
My missus' step dad bought an old E-type that was in boxes and had been standing for years, he shot blasted it all and he's been restoring it for about a year now...I'll get pics later, absolutely fantastic project!
Was a good meet as always.
Seems like theres some decent pics too, mine should be finished within a couple of months so it'll look a lot different next time :)
I think I've fixed this now....for the benefit of others, at a glance the suspension looked perfectly fine, but under close inspection the anti roll bar link had snapped, I fitted a new one and the car handles much better and I haven't heard any noise since.
I've ordered another to fit to my...
i bloody hope quinn don't stop the insurance, like stated in another thread, my insurance is £1700 3rd party at renewal with 1 ync, compared to minimum £4500 anywhere else!
I did mine the other day, both front and back...
wet & dried with 1200 initially, then 2000 until the plastic was smooth...applied cutting compound and used the rotary to buff...Then used machine polish with the rotary to give the end result...Literally look brand new!
Just spoke to my current insurer (Quinn) and they said that the renewal is £1700 3rd party with my 1 Year NCB. At least it's better than 9 grand but would like it a little cheaper tbh.
