Dirty Cup (Recaro Content)

  Evo 8 MR
Just picked these up today from Birmingham and I must say they are absolutely fantastic, they look great and they hold you really tight and snug. They've completely transformed the car tbh and I'm seriously considering harnesses now.

I think I'm going to lower it a little more tomorrow too.

I didn't have chance to wash it after the 260 mile journey today so excuse the bugs.

Your car looks so much better. Looks as a cup should, no rear seats etc and a couple of buckets! Glad you like them! :)

Fit-are they the non recliners out of the evo?

They don't recline no but they do wind forward so it's possible to gain access to the rear but as you can see, I won't be needing to.

Rear belts will be out tomorrow. I think I'll throw the boot carpet out too, it jumps up and down over some harsh bumps and makes a noise.

Only thing is I've nowhere to store all this stuff lol.

Look fantastic. When I had the 172 I got some Trendlines but what you have were my first choice, just couldn't get any for as cheap as I wanted to. Think they look great and clearly you'll be having no-one in the back anyway!

They look real nice and as you say no biggie if you're planning on outing the rear anyway. My mates cup was a fair bit noisier without all the rear carpets/sound deadening in-have you made a comparison to check it won't do your head in if its your daily fella?

Ah I thought these might have been second to the Trendlines tbh.

+1 on the price though, I was planning to buy a K-tec exhaust this week but when I saw these I practically chewed his arm off! :rasp:

If I'm honest I can't notice much difference apart from the little murmur you get from the black circle thing (sorry, don't have a clue what it is)

I suppose I'm only scratching the surface of stripping out though but I don't do many long journeys unless I'm out for a blast so it doesn't bother me at all.

I was going to remove the stickers but never got round to it. Was never keen on them!

Get those handles sorted, i see what you mean!

I love the stickers personally, I'd have been dissapointed if they weren't there!

I'll have a go tomorrow Dave.

They look awesome :)

what model are they? would look good in a vee ;)

Thanks, I'm not sure what the model name is tbh but they've come from an Evo 8 MR Edition.

If anyone knows it would be a great help as I'm after tunnel side covers for them.

Sorted em, I was expecting to have to bounce up and down on them etc to get them to shift but all that was needed was a little brute force and it bent down easily enough with my hand.

I've tie wrapped the wires to the seat now aswell as I was getting the SERV light coming on a couple of times yesterday but went off again, I guess it's because I cut the wires and bodged them back together, should be okay now as they're more secure.

Keep seatbelts bud, its a clio and the negatives of harnesses will outweigh the positives :)

Look great though!

This. If you're getting harnesses, you need a cage ideally. Did you remove the vibration washers when fitting?

They do look good! Are they Liquid Force's old seats?

What do you mean by that exactly? What are the negatives of harnesses?

Other than practicality issues obviously.

Personally I think it saves messing about with all this pretensioners nonsense. Just a few bolts right?

I didn't see any washers tbh, I just bolted the seats straight onto the sliding mechanism.

You dont hang about! Nice one mate :)

Yup, all this is what I wanted to do with the Dynamique months ago but I chose not to as I knew I wanted a 172 ultimately so I didn't bother.

No, bought them from Dave63. Athough afaik they are the same as the ones he had.

Dave63 bought them off Liquid, I think. It would explain the yellow on the subframes aswell.

The Bear means take out the Black vibration washers from where the seats bolt though the floor pan. They make a HUGE difference. Its how i rock with the standard chair

Oh, I didn't know that. :rasp:

Yup. I bought them from him back in February but decided i wanted the cash for my holiday/other bits and bobs. Have £400 saved for Ibiza spending money now, and a couple of small mods in the pipeline.

:)

Oh...heh...I didn't remove the subframes but if I did I'd have probably left them out. I'm happy with the seating position as is anyway, at least enough not to want to rip the seats back out again so soon after fitting.

I've given the interior a clean aswell as a wash on the outside. Also got the gearbox leak sorted today...at long last.

I'll be fitting a nice smooth silky black carpet in the rear to make it look nice and OEM. Then I think a Yozza Race system is on the cards tbh. :D
