Ahhh I read about this, big supply problems apparently (as expected, it's chuffin popular), Jessops seem to be letting down everybody that pre-ordered.
Warehouse Express are probably your best bet for a pre-order.
If I'm ever feeling really flush (unlikely) I might upgrade my 50mm 1.8 as...
Absolutely, don't get me wrong I would usually recommend the D40/60 without hesitation, but whilst this deal is around and falls in budget I think it would be crazy to miss it - the only possible deal breaker being that it is ever so slightly bigger - as always handling should probably be 95% of...
Yep as above, basically every Nikon lens made since about 1980 or some stupidly long time ago will work on a D80, with the D40 or D60 you will only get autofocus with 'AFS' lens (which are inherently more expensive)
So, if you want every lens to autofocus, you will need to spend a lot more on...
I would buy this in a heartbeat...
Nikon D80 + Nikon 18-55 VR = £390

As I've just mentioned in another thread, bang for buck I can't imagine...
That's the thing, for a lot of stuff lately they've been cheaper than 100% online companies...it just doesn't add up so I have no idea how they are doing it, especially considering one major online retailer has gone under and more will surely follow. The stores don't seem that busy so unless the...
No reason why your shots won't be to my "high standard" given a bit of time, all I've done is practice my ass off and not been afraid to come home with hardly any shots now and again, nothing particularly clever going on!
Good stuff, I've only ever experienced hot pixels with a Olympus DSLR that I had to shoot Venice with, the night pictures were covered in them, red, blue and yellow specs everywhere! I'm guessing that was a result of the tiny sensor they use.
Been lucky never to notice a single one with...
Just noticed it mentioned in 2 or 3 places lately, obliviously anything can happen in the current climate so it's hard to say for sure, but certain items have begun creeping up already and a few people at Canon have been quoted as saying their prices will rise by 10-15% across the board in...
Just a hobby, no money in it professionally really unless you are one of very few lucky/talented ones specifically employed by a team/circuit etc.
I've had interest from Mosler and Farbio in the past 12 months, so the wheels are turning slowly, pretty sure I got a shot on the Goodridge...
Rumour has it that camera prices have pretty much bottomed out now, and most manufacturers are aiming for at least a 10% price rise across the board in January.
As always, anything could happen, but it's been suggested by an awful lot of people.
The R8 was a Le Mans car, pretty much the most successful ever, iirc, however I would say the chances of one competing in a hill climb in France are fairly slim.
Seeing as there is no such thing...it doesn't even fit the naming conventions for an Audi Prototype.
Pretty sure that vid has been around for a few years, I'm assuming it's sports prototype of some sort, along the lines of a Jade.
Inspired by Rich, here goes...
Early start to the year with the Charity Track Day at Combe
Rallye Sunseeker
The final Cliosport Airfield Sprint
Kevin Bird: Bit of air
The best race I've ever seen...
More from my favourite spot at Combe
BTCC package at Thruxton...
Fantastic stuff, looks like a good circuit for photography. Those bike panning shots are spot on, looks like a fairly low shutter speed as well.
Hoping to pop up next year at some point.
Certainly a noticeable jump in quality with the 70-200 pics onwards imo.
Your Gurston pics are my favourite, really nice frame filling shots full of detail and movement.
Big Picture = Amazing. #16 and #28 are so powerful.
Some of the galleries are just jaw dropping, I wish the BBC would consider doing something similar. Actually makes me appreciate the professional photographers out there.
pmsl, my other half purchased them especially for taking photos :) Gets me something different each year for Christmas to play around with, I got a bottle of Bud last year, which was good fun.
Great stuff, really liking the night pics...wishing I had more than 3 hours there now!
Looking back the rustic door handle thing is my favourite, I love little details like that.
Yep the mm's really do add up at that end of the scale (due to the crop factor I guess), the difference between 10mm and 12mm when you're shooting with a Sigma 10-20 is massive!
180 degree shooting ftw anyhow, will need to keep my big feet out of the frame!
I was hoping for some Chicago Bean shots, and I'm not disappointed!
Lots of images like you say, main issue is that they are pretty big though, Cliosport limits images to 800px wide, so it's having to compress all of these down from 1024px wide which never does photos any favours.
Nikon Capture NX does it automatically from RAW files, otherwise there is...

I've seen samples from the Image Trends Software and it...
Probably not great for portraits, you could always start a side-line in quirky animal photos though :)
Other reason I bought mine is that there is some extremely good distortion correction software out there (cheap, too) that easily turns pics back to 'standard'. Should be useful if I ever do...
First one seems really good, but as a few others have mentioned - in the nicest possible way that second shot is a little scary. Not quite sure what though, maybe the eyes.
