Even a 172 manifold is a pain in the arse to change tbh! Luckily they never fail though.

I never bother refitting them to my own cars once they come off. The way I see it, I'd rather know if my car had an oil leak. With one of these on, it'll be hidden.

They don't look great for that mileage tbh. Did you file them before fitting? Look to have got pretty hot.

Plastic wingnut at the front of the box. Just under the clutch cable bracket. On level ground with the wingnut out, the oil should be at the hole level.

No worries at all there.
