I'm getting a horrendous squealing noise from the engine when: Starting the engine. Turning the wheels whilst stationary or going slowly. (worse when stationary and you can feel it struggle to turn through the steering wheel) Revving the engine. Changing gear. (only occasionally) Any idea of...

The noise has come back... if it is the PAS pump, any idea of how much it would cost to get fixed?

I think this may have been because the CV boot has broke. Just took my car in for the MOT and it failed and needs 2 new CV boots. Do you think this could have been the cause of the noise? The noise started to happen when just turning the engine on for a second or two recently as well.

I've just put my 182 in for it's MOT this morning and it's failed due to the CV boot leaking. They said I will need 2 CV boots, gear oil and they will obviously charge for labour. Does £150 seem a reasonable price to pay a garage to fix this? Thanks in advance :)

Yeah, I was using the indicator. How do I go about fixing the short in the rear light unit? I have noticed the passenger side rear lights can be a bit temperamental at times.
