its a fiddly job, but i did two within a couple of weeks (someone sold me a fucked box the first time round) all on the garage floor, you don't really need any special tools a halfords set will get the job done, if its your first time you will/should have it out in maximum a day
after some fresh wheel bearings we where ready for the next outing at blyton again, and the car was on form was the quickest thing on track that day barring a couple of west fields
(Poor Quality for some reason)
had a good play against josh's 172 cup @24JSeymour, which made the trackday javelin...
Just renewed my membership so thought i would start a thread for the track car,
some of you may know of me through my Raider
after taking it to the ring last year and doing a few sessions at teesside autodrome i caught the track bug, but felt the raider was too nice to be ragged around a...
Awesome little track car mate, similar to ours, we also have the TIT on our slam bar
you need the EPAS set up, ours blew its high pressure pipe at the ring fluid every where was a right ball ache
Get the DCI version of the GT, after a map thay are just as quick, so much better on juice and ive never heard of a issue with a dci gearbox
FYI i had a GT DCI as a daily now my GF commutes 800 miles a week in it and it is nor trouble at all
for our track days we take a 200pc halfords set, impact gun, and cable ties and a few spare disc's, pads and a extra set of wheels/tyres (Which don't fit in a tool box) if you need much more than that, you aren't going to fix it at the track side
id give camber bolts a try first mate, i was there with a mate on friday too in the blue 172 cup, he was running eibach bolts on full negative camber, didnt seem to have any tyre roll over like that,
also running standard shocks with grams springs
you would be probably be better off trying to find a second hand genuine one, as them links look purely for the diffuser, eBay and Facebook will be the best place to look,
you will also need to look into modifying your exhaust, will be a nightmare if i remember correctly on my old DCI's they...
This was my first i think was a hand me down from my nana, after she got a "upgrade" if you called it that back in the day i was maybe 9 or 10 year old
had a 3310 then moved onto then moved on to the even more rugged version with a colour screen the 5100 with a plug in camera
the rubber on...
Cheers mate, nice to see another one pop up on the forum,
I've got number 3/50, I believe 1 & 2 were press cars and mine was owned by the director of Renault
Ive never used anything but the opaque range on mine and i cant find a reason to stray away it leaves it looking fantastic when done, the wax is pricey but makes cleaning so much easier the dirt just falls off with a good rinse
Quite a few optional extras,
Folding/heated mirrors, sat nav, Bluetooth, sunroof, keyless entry and start, digital climate control, I've got a list on my GT thread, mine had every box ticked iirc still got it just can't remember what's a option and what's not anymore lol
Clutch fluid line hasn't popped off has it, don't know if 1*2's have that set up,
But this happened to me in the works Renault master clutch pedal just hits the floor, reconnect and a bleed sorted it out
Cheers mate fella
Thanks mate, will be going for a carbon diffuser and coilovers when my savings recoup, been investing all my money into my company
what number and colour did you get ? there seems to be a influx in people buying/selling them recently
Swissvax do 20% off on there website every...
