Yeah it's a minefield really as without a wind tunnel you wouldn't have a clue on where to fit one on the rear and how to set it up in height and angle.
Looking for a bit more stability at higher speeds for the MR2 on track especially for my local tracks Oulton and Aintree where they have high speeds corners. My plan is to fit a GT type wing like the linked one below which looks similar to the Seibon CF 3D GT wing. No need for a crazy expensive...
Proper car, cannot wait to see it on track. 7:20's with that spec is very achievable I would think. I'll be joining you in the big gay wing brigade soon enough (y)
Id just change the suspension. I went from OE dampers and lowering springs to AST's and the difference was unbelievable. I was quicker in the wet with AST's than I was in the dry with OE dampers and lowering springs. I quickly got to the limit of semi slicks then moved up to slicks...
You dont want a 5w 50 oil for a road car mate as it's to thick at normal road operating temps. It's only on track when the oil gets much hotter and therefore thinner you want a 50 grade.
Having more of a read around the net, supposedly Comma are in partnership with Halfords across all there own branded name oils. Makes sense as they would sell a s**t load more through Halfords than their own branding bumping up tonnage and therefore profit even if they make a small margin with...
Just looking for a suitable engine oil to replace the overly expensive Gulf competition 15w 50 that the MR2 has run on since the 2ZZ engine swap and after a lot of reading on viscosities and grades I've decided the most suitable with performance and value in mind was a 5w 50 as its thin at cold...
There's a nIce looking MR2 here for £2K, I can confirm that are a hoot on road and track albeit not quite as quick as a Clio sport.

See above for answers to your questions.
Also have a look through my old build, bought it standard with not much history and spent a shite load getting it right and track ready hence why this time I bought a car built with good history and haven't looked back...
Seems it mate yeah. If looked after they run to moon miles. Cant remember on the differences, maybe intake manifold and exhaust but no internals and they are closer in BHP than officially stated so don't get hung up on a 182.
Just purchase any Clio sport already track built with recent cam belt service and decent previous service history and you wont go far wrong.

Did you bleed through after replacing the seals? Crack the nut from the metal fuel rail pipe that you replaced the injector from and give it very short cranks on the ignition until diesel starts to come through and then tighten back up.
Had this set for 5 years and I must have used it over a1000 times on cars from my lightweight MR2 to the very heavy 6MPS.
