He's advertised it at £999 as its free for a week (first advertised 28/8), done the same recently with the Scenic but I actually only waned £999. So if he's scrimping on advertising fee's then as above what else is he being a cheapskate on?
No thanks!
Skoda Fabia splitter from Ebay are £10-15. Madness to pay Renault prices! As for the exhaust most upgrade to a sports exhaust once the OE has had it as again Renault prices are ridiculous and 2nd hand units are rare these days.
Welcome along.?
You can use the thinner 8mm rings you just need to centre them under the abs sensor.
They can be hard to see if they're cracked sometimes. Get it in the air at the front and pop your head under whilst spinning the fronts and look for the split. They can be hairline so not always noticeable...
See I found the AD08R needed a bit of heat to get the most out of them on the road but once warm performed well. They exceeded expectation in damp and light rain on the road & track which I was surprised at TBH. Not so good with standing water though. On a dry track however I found them wanting...
Not tried the PBS pads but the DS1.11's last ages, work from cold and have a really nice progressive pedal and great consistent bite.
Just ordered a set for the VRS.
No reason mate. Just missed them of the list on 'road only'. Good all rounder. Used them on a few cars. Reason i put them on the occasional track is the wet performance as you say.
Road only:
PS3
ZV7
RS3
Or anything but T1R's
Road and the occasional track day:
PS3
AD08R
GY F1's
Track only:
R888
ZZR
DZ03G
V70A
A048R
Toyo RS1 slick
Bang for buck the R888's are king, especially used.
Very nice indeed.
Don't suppose you're interested in a swap of the coilovers for OE dampers and Eibach springs and cash your way depending on brand?
PM if so.
I doubt non cup wishbones would make the car change that dramatically. It just sounds like standard EPAS to me. Mine done exactly the same on the road, wandering, not self centring etc. Get it on track and when you go into a steeply cambered corner the steering would really firm up once into the...
I had my head rebuilt after it slipped the timing with new valves and seals and it dropped a valve seat not 300 miles later. In hindsight I should have just sourced a head of a working 182 as you just don't know what damage the slipped timing has caused to your current head.
Ahh unlucky mate, had very similar on mine where it slipped the timing. You'll get a decent engine with history and cam belt done for around £500. And they aren't difficult to remove.
They make great track cars and you won't regret it once its up and running.
Get a wanted thread on here and...
As above rack bushes definitely. ARB bushes depends if they are shot to sh*t, if not leave them be, same with wishbone bushes as well. I changed to blacks and couldn't feel any difference over OE.
If you are going to have 2 sets of wheels one for track one for road then my advice would be go with a better dedicated track tyre. R888R, AR1, V70a, ZZR, DZ03G, A048 or similar. The AD08R can start to get real greasy and overheat after a few hot laps IME.
If youre using just the one set then...
Looking good as are the alignment specs. Bit of toe out on the front with what I presume max camber for better turn in and cornering speed and stability. Rears pushing near straight and true with neutral toe, I would prefer more rear camber but being RWD maybe this is why its dialled back slightly.
Haha thought my pads lasted ages. Bloody OE rears did 6k miles most of that track miles and still had more than half on them, lol. TBF they were doing naff all until I refurbed them.
Never had an issue switching pads on the same disc's, even 2500's. A generous heat cycle after a change has always worked for me. The last set of Brembo HC discs I used on the Clio must have had 3k track miles on them and in that time had most of the above pads mentioned inc the highly...
Agreed, think I went through most pads available for the Clio DS2500, DS3000, Mintex 1144, 1155, Carbone Lorraine RC5+, RC8 etc and was never really happy with any of them, tried the DS1.11 last and they were the one, lol.
Good vid. Looks like you were the better driver in the slower car as the s2k's lines were shocking at times. As for the 7 douche bags, these tools seem to be at every TD I've ever attended.
