Downloaded bittorrent... is utorrent a blatant copy or the other way round?! Menu's and everything are all the same! Anyway, managed to get the port forwarding to work last night and was successful!

Great pics, but not a fan of either car.

The little green tick at the bottom that indicates everything is ok is not coming up! Says I do not have a connection. Its still downloading but at around 7mb rather than 200+ I have been getting! I did a test on the ports and it comes up saying bot active, so I followed the port forwarding...

No point! The 500d will be out by the end of the year.. then 550d etc etc!

New bodies mean nothing! Its all in the lenses!!! Canon & Nikon are as bad as each other when it comes to new models!

Sadly I didnt have the D40 to hand when this chap turned up, still.. had the ixus which came out ok! Managed to get quite close, these pics are not cropped, just resized.

Maybe start with jpeg whilst you learn your way around the camera. I never really use RAW!

I got mine through Amazon, but actually amazon, not seller. Fakes are everywhere! Just dont buy from ebay unless its from a very reputable seller.

Alternative is the Nikon 55-200vr at £130 - really good lens and won best entry level zoom :)

D40 - 279 at Argos. Great pics, so many D40 owners on here!

^^ I agree! I bought the D40 and have no intention of any upgrading... apart from the lenses!

I have one in my camera bag! I prefer it to the 75 TBH, smaller and can go anywhere when the SLR is at home. Have used it both outdoors and indoors and pics come out pretty good! Have a couple of pics from Christmas party if you want me to post.
