Perfected and finished - Inlet manifolds

Hello Luke, Drive in/Drive out fitting is £212+vat, you dont need exhange basis if we are fitting.

People write books on this subject.

    F7R vs F7P vs ITB

Yes, clearance around the air horns for a proper sized air filter. You wont be able to fit that with the stock radiator in place and intake air temps will be astronomical and severely affect power output and reliability.

I had heard of zero issues from Adrian until he attempted to fit bodies, especially regarding oil loss. I have only heard of issues since he had attempted to fit bodies and I feel like your simply trying the old 'you touched it last' approach. If the engine was fubar'd then surely just...

My 172cup and lack of power update

Thats impossible! They are made by people who do F1 cams and make the Veyron engine! Right Fred! lol

Still waiting on Dav_M, left some PM's and voice mails but not heard anything back. When discussed with vala, originally everybody was meant to pay up and i make them all in one batch, but this is holding stuff up so i've had to resort to doing them one at a time.

nope......the loading bar just moves super slow for a few mins then it just comes up with a cross. Can you save and upload it again?

Question for people who got the B&M shifter?

Its always been an issue and i've never liked B&M's shifting quality. They always shift poorly, increase reach, bang on the shifter tunnel. Problem might be due to the expansion rates of the materials used and the clearance they give on the ball joint pivot.....it get hot, it gets tight.

    172 cylinder head

The phs2's head is a diff casting and doesnt have the ex ports CNC'd like the phs1's. Performance is not affected as the engine output is not at a level where the flow ratio becomes a hinderance. You can have TOO much exhaust flow. The phs2's ports are also different in their...

Adrians? It was a stock block with some headwork and cams so I cant really be overly responsable for the condition of the block. It ran perfectly fine on the stock inlet manfiold (184bhp iirc), but he added bodies himself and only gained a tiny amount of power. Why? I dont know, I never saw...

yea, will work fine. That list will bolt up and run, assuming you have taken care of the clearane required to run bodies etc.

For some reason the host is playing up and the website isnt even working. email me direct at ben@angel-works.co.uk, the 'info' address kicks away the majority of the mail as junk which is highly annoying.

Jenvey dont have one for the williams, we have to make our own billet manifold.

    F7R vs F7P vs ITB

If your taking the engine apart for forged pistons, i'd just stump up and fit forged rods, it seems pointless to limit the engines potential by running oem rods. The megane setup is good, but you will need to have the head modified to a good level as it is pretty poor in stock trim. The...

    F7R vs F7P vs ITB

When you say head gasket, i assume you mean just the head? Either can be fitted to either block, and in stock trims you wont notice a diff between either block. If you've got a jenvey kit for the megane head, then you've pretty much had that decision made for you. Just slap it all onto...

    172 Running badly, hesitating

doesnt sound like timing, timing has to be quite a fair way off to affect general running and cause such hesitation.

    172 cylinder head

i've not seen a phs1 without vvt. If you have a non vvt engine is more likely to have come off a laguna or espace.

    matched manifolds and ptfe gasket....on!

As far as I can remember, when you posted your before and after graphs I pointed out there was a corresponding 5 or 6 bhp and lb/ft gain midrange even though there was a 1 bhp peak gain, but you didnt seem too bothered about it. And I also offered you your money back, but again you didnt...

    f4r/f4s whats the differance?

the 172 head has F4S inked onto it. If the inlet ports are CNC'd, its a sport head.

    172 cylinder head

The only real difference is the exhaust ports, phs2/cup/182 heads all have smaller exhaust ports which flow approx 30% less

    My valver/172 project

front pulley tool is diff yea. Matteh, angle torque and frictional torque methods are completely different, you cant compare the two....but essentially renault with with FT for the cam pulleys lol. Now paste that engine and bed those rings properly!

    My valver/172 project

The inlet cam is indeed 100nm and the ex 30nm + 86 deg +/- a 16 deg deviation allowance. Angle tightening is used as its generates a more reliable clamping force than most peoples cheap torque wrenches and ill prepped bolts. You need to use the pulley locking tool to tighten, otherwise...

nope. Make sure the ring gaps are correct aswell.

    2.2 clio possibly

I know they are part and parcel, thats why i said the only problem might be if your using it for the road and expect significant milage. But saying that, The B20's have a r/s of 1.54 and spin all day long to 10k, make significantly more power and torque than any of the raised deck 2ltr...
