You bests gains from matched inlets are the phase 1 so its defo worth getting yours done, as for bhp increase you will see anything from 2-5bhp, i know when i had my cup done paul@rstuning said the most he ever sees out of matched inlets on phase2 172 are between 1-3bhp, yours should see around...
Is it broke cos it ticking? its only just started to do it, its sounds like its coming from the wheel itself or tyre, well this is what i think when i stick my head out of the window at 30mph and listen lol
Hi guys,
Drove from work today and heard this horrible ticking noise coming from the drivers side front wheel, its the exact same noise as if you had a stone wedged in the groove of your tyre, i thought it was be this as i park in a carpark which is stoney, however on looking at the tyre its...
Without doubt its your shock, i had mine replaced not so long ago as one of mine was leaking, even the slighest bump in the road would cause a loud bang at the back of the car, all sorted now though :D remember its advisable to replace both shocks at the same time, there £50 each to buy
Hope...
I have driven my mates 182 on numerous occasions and my cup feels quite quicker than his, as you put it the cup is more raw
Again this is just my opinion
A decat shoudnt affect mpg however it will throw on you emmisson light, as for the rstuner i dont know a great deal about them, do a search on here and you will find loads on information on it, there a very popular mod for the clio and lots of people have some very good things to say about it
Try an rstuner, about £180 i think plus it can be used as a code reader, it wont affect fuel ecomony, ive seen the exact same fuel usage on my car even after a remap, if anything it will be ever so slightly better, as for inlet porting giving better mpg i dont think it does, ive never heard of...
Decat and remap is the best for your money, if your car is pretty much standard then a generic remap like the rstuner will be the best, a custom remap will be best if you have modified your car, i had a custom remap at rstuning, well worth the money
The rs inlets are slightly better matched than the non rs stamped inlets, ph1's arnt stamped so they see the best gains when getting matched, theres idly no gains on rs stampled inlets
NW performance are aftermarket mounts but are identical to the originals, not to mention there half the price and the rubber is a hell of alot stronger, there mounts are the ones to go for :D
Well your more than capable lol, i think its just a bit of a fiddly job to do, even more if a/c is involved, im sure you will be fine :D im sure a specialist will tell you the key things to do when changing it
The engine are pretty much identical, like its been said its only the exhaust manifold which is different, so for your answer a 182 engine would drop into a 172 and vice versa, please anyone correct me if im wrong
There website says it all really, been a renault specialist since 1981, so without doubt they will have all the necessary locking tools for the job, theres a few good reviews on here, i wouldnt worry at all mate it will have been done correctly
You need to torque them up!, dont ever finger tight them and then a little turn, as for that torque wrench i bought the same one for my plugs, preset to 24nm, does a good job and its worth the money even if used a few times
